I recently wrote an article titled "A justice league film adaption... can it work?" Posted in the news section by accident. In that article I included a brief description of my idea for a justice league movie(watchmen influenced..) with a short fan cast. In this I will elaborate alittle more on my fan cast and within afew weeks I will repost this with pictures of the actor and the character side by side. My internet is currently down and I'm posting this on my phone.
I'm not going to consider every actors previous roles, keep in mind this is a fan cast and my cast may upset some fans..
Batman- Hugh Jackman... he has the face, the build, and the attitude to seperate bruce wayne from batman. I think with Hugh jackman casted, we would get good acting as well as a more muscle bound Batman.
Super-man- Honestly superman has always been difficult for me to cast. I'm not a fan of the brandon routhe, smallville, idea of henry caville superman. I think they need to ditch the young pretty boy superman and get an actor with a large build and a strong jawline as if he looks like he can really take a punch. I've considered actors such as Gerard butler and even hughjackman for a superman. Gerard butler would br tricky to seperate clark kent and superman but overall I think it could be pulled off. Keeping in mind the way christopher reeve seperated the 2. Butler could give a more masculine tone to the superman character. One I think we haven't seen aside from the comics and animated dc universe.
Green lantern- this is where people are really gonna hate me. I think green lantern should be played by christian bale. Don't get me wrong, I love the batman begins trilogy. It is my favorite of the batman films and overall I loved bales portayal.(aside from the voice) but I do think he would be a strong cast for the green lantern. We'd take him more seriously then ryan reynolds.
The flash- speaking of ryan reynolds, I think he would be the perfect candidate for the flash. He would serve perfect for comic relief and he has the flash attitude portrayed in the animated universe.
Martian manhunter- Billy crudup, he was the actor who played doctor manhattan in the watchmen film adaption. I think he would be perfect because we know how he would look with similiar cgi. All he has to do is drop the level of depression in the character and he'd me martian manhunter.
Wonder woman- I've condsidered lucy lawless for the role. Xena. She fits the age range of all our other actors and she's still gorgeous enough to pull off an amazon woman.
Aquaman- Chris hemsworth. Look at thor, put a hook on his hand and he's aquaman.
DARKSEID- micheal clarke duncan. If you don't know who he is, google an image and you'll know exactly why I casted him.
The joker- Hugo weaving, he's got a sick look to him to deliver us "the killing joke" joker.
Lex luthor- Patrick Stewart. Get him out of the wheel chair and give him sinister intentions, minus the accent and you have lex luthor. But for my vision, I'm aiming for someone younger. Reason being, I want lex to fight. To use the armor he uses in the animated universe to battle superman. The armor featured in mk vs. Dc. That would give us a more exciting lex. Someone who can pull off a more physically capable lex would be someone like george clooney. Shave his head. He's already in good physical shape and has that smug persona that can be channeled into a shady lex luthor running for president.
That concludes my fan cast for a justice league film. Abit contraversial to some fans but overall I think it might play out for an entertaining justice league film.
