Agents Of SHIELD: Hawkeye

Lozzy here, bringing you a fancast for a hypothetical TV special of Agents of SHIELD, starring Hawkeye.

Format: TV movie

Network: ABC

Runtime: 60 minutes

Synopsis

For the past two years Hawkeye has been sent on a mission by SHIELD to investigate and eliminate a super-soldier serum trade that has been going on all across Turkey. As Hawkeye gets closer to the main source of the trade he must first overcome a few challenges, both physically and mentally.

Director

Doug Liman

I have chosen Doug Liman as the Director of this because I imagine this film having a somewhat similar tone to Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Hawkeye and Mockingbird have similar chemistry to the characters John and Jane Smith. Also Doug Liman has done some TV work before such as The O.C. and Heist.

Cast and Characters

Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye

After the events of The Avengers Agent Barton was sent on a mission to Turkey to investigate and eliminate super-soldier serum trades that have been going on all across the country. So far his had no trouble with this task, however once his neighbor recognizes him as an Avenger he starts having flashbacks and bad memories from when he was under mind control by Loki and also realizes how much he has been drifting apart from Black Widow, this causes him to be distracted during his mission and another SHIELD agent is sent in to help him.

Maggie Grace as Barbara “Bobbi” Morse/Mockingbird

Ever since Bobbi Morse joined SHIELD she has slowly been building a reputation for herself and gaining higher and higher clearance levels, because of this she was handpicked by Nick Fury himself to help Hawkeye on his mission. While she teams up with Hawkeye she helps him overcome his bad memories and this creates chemistry between the two.

I have chosen Maggie Grace for the role of Mockingbird because I think she is a great up incoming actress and I think she could have great on screen chemistry with Jeremy Renner.

Gasparda Ulliel as Jacques Duquesne/Swordsman

Jacques Duquesne is a French mercenary known mostly as Swordsman due to the fact that he mostly uses a sword while in combat. He was hired by the new AIM CEO Alessandro Brannex to eliminate Hawkeye. He becomes a difficult opponent for both Hawkeye and Mockingbird because just like them he is also an expert in a unique weapon.

I have chosen Gasparda Ulliel for the role of Swordsman because he’s French so he can portray the character more accurately and also because of his performance as Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal Rising.

Robert Knepper as Alessandro Brannex

Alessandro Brannex was elected as the new CEO of AIM after Aldrich Killian’s death. When Alessandro became CEO he started running trades in Turkey to other organizations of such things as super-soldier serums, extremis serums and Chitauri weapons. Once he finds out about Hawkeye ruining his organization he hires a mercenary by the name of Swordsman to eliminate him.

I have chosen Robert Knepper for the role of Alessandro Brannex because I think he’s an underrated actor and he also has a very evil look to him.

Larry Thomas as Abdul “Grills” Emir

Abdul Emir, more commonly known as Grills is a neighbour of Hawkeye’s and is a big fan of him. When Grills meets Hawkeye he constantly asks him questions about the Avengers and the battle of New York, this gives Hawkeye bad memories from when he was under control by Loki.

Note: This character is loosely based off his comic book counterpart, I had to change his nationality due to the fact that the movie takes place in Turkey.

I have chosen Larry Thomas as Grills because I found him hilarious as the Soup Nazi in Seinfeld and think he would make a great comic relief character in this film.

Cameos

Tom Hiddleston as Loki

Loki is seen in flashbacks from The Avengers when he was controlling Hawkeye.

Faran Tahir as Raza

Raza is seen in a super-soldier serum trade, he is later killed by Hawkeye.

Georges St-Pierre as Georges Batroc/Batroc the Leaper

A resume and picture of Batroc is seen on Alessandro’s desk, suggesting that Alessandro considered hiring him to eliminate Hawkeye.

Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury

Nick Fury appears at the end of the movie calling Hawkeye requesting that he return to SHIELD headquarters, leading directly into Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This would actually be pretty cool. It airs the Tuesday before Avengers AoU comes out.

I would love an episode like this!!!! Hawkeye is underused, it would be perfect for him to be in an AoS episode.

One thing though, didn't Raza die in Iron Man?

This is great. Hawkeye is one of my favorite Marvel characters and I think something like this would be awesome to see get made. It'd be cool if Marvel did this as an extended one-shot or something. Like they could release it on a bonus disc with the eventual Phase 2 box set or something. Anyway, really great job on this.

Robert Knepper should become Red Skull since Hugo Weaving doesnt want to reprise the role

Hawkeye needs a movie. The problem is Marvel already has there plate full. Hopefully Hawkeye will get good development time in AOU. AOS is awesome, if Renner even wants to do tv he could guest on SHIELD.

Lozzy, I love you, you swingin' jazz cat, you.

I only have 2 points to be made.

- I believe that Redford is Red Skull soley due to the Winer Soldier Arc and with the whole line in the trailer about needing him to change the world again, it's obvious he hired Bucky. But anyways.

- Raza... I don't think he should die. He should be brought up as the true leader of the Ten Rings and become Mandarin or at least his associate.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought Raza was killed in Iron Man 1?

Sounds great, highly unlikely but sounds great none the less. I wish Marvel would make straight to DVD movies based on lesser known characters.

don't know about the story (and that's not meant as an indictment), but love the idea of specialized "supersized" episodes of Agents of Shield that would center around someone from the movie cast, woven into the tv cast.
TheSisko
TheSisko - 1/12/2014, 4:18 PM
Also I love Maggie Grace but I do not see her as Mockingbird. Grace does not look right for the character facially. She would be better as Black Canary or the Enchantress.

Insomnia

I dont think so, Obediah just paralyzed him, i mean we can go by the rule that they never showed Obediah or his soldiers kill Raza, so he could still be alive

This sounds cool

Hawkeye needs his own tv show
I don't think the avengers movies are going to do him justice, since he
will be outshine by the 4 main superheroes and even black widow
BlackHulk
BlackHulk - 1/12/2014, 4:20 PM
This TV show would be overkill by Marvel. There is already a successful hero archer series by the name of Arrow. Giving a character who already had two movies for character development more exposure instead of the hundreds of other Marvel characters out there is somewhat silly.
