Story:
After Bruce Wayne's parents are murdered in an alley he goes into a deep depression. Eventually, using his money to put his troubles away. After his parents killer is realesed from prison and his long time friend Vicki Vale shows him the true Gotham, he goes in search of a way to stop crime in Gotham.
In his travels he meets a league of crime stoppers that call themselves the League of Shadows. Lead by Ra's al Ghul, Bruce is taught how to insure justice. While being trained, Ra's explains that he must use his fears against his enimies. Which is when he was introduced to Killer Croc, one of Ra's students. Ra's tells Bruce that he has a toxin that can turn any man into a beast, and later explains that he must also kill to insure justice.
Bruce escapes the camp after learning this, and returns to Gotham. When he returns he learns that his long time friend Thomas Elliot, is holding a funeral for his murdered mother. During the funeral Thomas ignores Bruce and leaves. When Bruce returns to Wayne enterprise, he gains a job in the technology section. There he meets Lucius Fox. From this point Bruce begins to ask Lucius for equipment, and Lucius is told about the Batman project.
Bruce and Alfred discover the Batcave near Wayne Manor, and began to renovate it after they bring in equipment from Wayne enterprise. After going out several times as the Batman, he gains the trust of Jim Gordon. However, Jim must lead the investigation against the Batman along with Dr.Hugo Strange.
Dr. Hugo Strange becomes obsessed with Batman, and creates a Batman costume. He begins to go out at night causing crimes in the Batman suit, thus ruining Batman's image. With the continued Batman crimes, Batman becomes a wanted criminal.
Ra's comes to Gotham and meets Roman Sionis. Ra's knows of Roman's hatred of Bruce Wayne, and asks that he help him bring and end to Batman. Roman agrees, and picks up the persona of Black Mask.
Ra's decides to strike using his toxin in the form of an ariborne gas. He uses a machine inside of a warehouse inside central gotham. The gas begins to spread and Gotham begins to mutate.Batman goes into action, and goes to Robert Langstrom to find a cure. While Gotham is being quarintined, Robert finds a syrum that should counter the effects temporairly until a more permament soltuion can be found.
Batman heads to the Warehouse with the police close behind. Inside Bruce is confronted by Ra's and Killer Croc. After a long duel, Batman manages to inject the syrum into Killer, causing him to change into his human form. Batman manages to bring down Ra's, and he injects the syrum into the machine. Ra's ,while down, sets off a bomb timer in the warehouse. Black Mask apears and questions what Ra's is doing, but runs out the bulding. The building explodes with Killer Croc and Ra's in it. Black Mask was also is the building but survived. However, his mask was sealed to his face in the explosion. The syrum's gas is spread throughout Gotham. Eventually, a permament solution is found.
Black Mask was secretly pulled away by Hugo Strange. A month later Harvey Dent became the new D.A. And the movie ends with a speech by him in which he describes bringing down Batman as his top priority.
