Canada-Man:

Origin

Doctor Steven Cancan Canuck is a mild-mannered scientist with a loving family, and a good job as a government researcher. He and his lab partner Doctor Lance Lark were working on serum for the government called “Canadex.” This formula would enable cures for multiple diseases to be discovered, and would make Canada an ultimate economic power, which persuades Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to fund Dr. Canuck’s research further, and also move him to a better lab located in Toronto.

Meanwhile, an organization called M.A.P.L.E has been trying to replicate Dr. Canuck’s serum with little, or no, success. This prompts the organization to send out one of their best men, Agent E.H. (Edgar Hanson), to steal the serum and bring it back to headquarters. Coincidentally, another organization only known as “KOO” is planning to sabotage an experiment with the serum.

The next morning, Dr. Canuck says goodbye to his family as he sets off on his way to the new lab in Toronto. In the intervening time, the Prime Minister is alerted to the disappearance of Dr. Lark, who was last seen entering a car dealership. The Prime Minister orders a search of the area. Later that night, Dr. Canuck begins tweaking his “Canadex” formula while unknowingly being watched by “KOO,” as well as Agent E.H. “KOO” moves in and places bombs all over the building. This catches the attention of Agent E.H., who starts to sneak towards the building, hoping to get to the serum before the explosion. Suddenly, the building explodes. From this blast, Agent E.H. is thrown across the street, Dr. Canuck is hit by discharges of “Canadex” and presumed dead, and “KOO” runs off believing they have succeeded in their plot.

A day or two later, Dr. Canuck discovers he is completely fine. He also discovers that he has magnificent powers given to him by the discharges. From there on, he tries to learn more about his newfound powers, and realizes that he can never be with his family ever again because there would be many people coming after him, to use him. He didn’t want to risk their lives. And so, Dr. Cancan Canuck decided to use his newfound powers to protect the innocent people in the country he loves, stop the harmful, and become a symbol of his pride… Canada Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Villians

Volatile Aviator

Leader of “KOO,” the Volatile Aviator’s origins are shrouded in mystery. It is rumored that he comes from an ancient race of bird people from the planet Squakron 1, but this explanation is even too outlandish to someone like Canada-Man. The Volatile Aviator is evidently (and obviously) human, although he does claim to have other-worldy powers. He also sports a small parrott named Sampson, who aids him in his crimes.

The Volatile Aviator is very narcissistic, and believes that he is the only sane person in the world. He can be very manipulative, and even persuaded Tom Benson to become High Voltage as to become his apprentice. V.A. is one of Canada-Man’s deadliest foes and, although appearing very weak, garners the strength of an army!

High Voltage

Tom Benson was an average teenager with less-than-extraordinary dreams for his future; however, this would all change in the blink of an eye! Gaining the power to manipulate electricity from an accident involving some water and an electrical fence, Tom felt completely rejuvenated! Noticing this young boy’s strength and power, the Volatile Aviator persuaded Tom to work for him and, in doing so, got Tom to almost annihilate Canada-Man! Luckily, Tom soon realized he was on the wrong side, and decided to leave “KOO” and also leave Canada entirely! He vowed never to return until the day the world was cleansed of its evil. His location today is unknown, although many speculate that every major storm in the world is really caused by Tom in his quest to purge the world of its problems.

Dr. Ozone

Dr. Pots Labolg-Gnimraw is a foreign scientist working on a formula for a big oil company known as PPW (Perfect Petroleum Worldwide). This formula would give the CEO of the company, John Eval, the gift of immortality. Dr. LG, realizing that he deserves the power more than any CEO, drinks the formula himself but, after doing some extra calculations, Dr. LG realizes one imperfection: he has become allergic to clean air! To stay alive, the doctor fills his lab with gasoline fumes and, due to the fumes, is driven insane! The doctor convinces himself that the world is truly what is imperfect, decides to infect others with his “condition,” and dons a new name: DR. OZONE!!!!!!

KOO (Kin Of Oscillator)

Aviatrix

When Lucy Lemont decided to join the Volatile Aviator, she didn’t realize the extent to which her role was in his KOO group. Injecting her with a sample of the Canadex serum, and performing a séance to bless her, the Volatile Aviator created the perfect weapon, Aviatrix. Having super strength, a super bird call that weakens her enemies, and the ability to fly, the Aviatrix was prepared to fight Canada-Man, and would have won, if not for VA’s jealousy. VA decided that he should be the one to kill Canada-Man, and pulled Aviatrix out of the fight. Although this caused tension in their relationship, Aviatrix and the Volatile Aviator maintain a somewhat “healthy” relationship, and continue to see each other.

Dodo

Not much is known about Dodo, except that he is possessed by some sort of demon, which he says to truly be god himself. Dodo is the major muscle of the KOO, and is a pawn in VA’s plans. The truth is, Dodo could really choose to kill VA if he wanted to, but Dodo knows that this is not worth his time. Dodo joined the team in their second battle against Canada-Man, but was surprised by an attack from High Voltage. Somehow, he knows Tom Benson, but no one knows exactly how…

F.E.A.R (Flexible Ectoplasmic Arsenic Replicate)

In the darkest corners of the earth lie the unknown and it was one of these corners that F.E.A.R came from. Created by some of the most deranged minds on the planet, F.E.A.R is a symbol of death and destruction, but interestingly enough, this is not his purpose. F.E.A.R has the abilities of telekinesis, super strength, flying, shape-shifting, and he can even destroy himself. He was created to test the human mind, and start a new revolution based on human survival, and capacity for good. Anyone who encounters F.E.A.R is being watched, and tested…

That's it for now! Any feedback would be appreciated! Some aspects of each character are meant to be comedic, so if somethings sound a little funny or campy, they're supposed to. All in all, I think I'm going to start writing more on this character in the future, so look out for my first Canada-Man story sometime soon!

@airbeyonder Thanks! It's a concept that I'm toying with, and I'm thinking I might change his name from Canada-Man to something else... I'm not sure what it'll be though. Anyways, really appreciate the feedback.

@ LEEE Thanks! I have to say that my favorite Canadian hero would have to be Wolverine, or good ole Cap. Canuck.
