Captain Planet Cast: Lionesses Picks part 1

Captain Planet Cast: Lionesses Picks part 1

The Captain Planet movie is coming up and there has not been an announced cast. I have read some peoples choices for cast members, and I just had to release my own because I’m not happy with their picks. In this list, here’s who I would want. Chances are, you don’t know them all.

Ok, first is Gaia. I could only find one suitable actress for her. I was thinking about Hallie Berry and Brandi Norwood but in the end, neither one of them clicked.

Gaia - Rochelle Ayates

As seen in Trick R' Treat and White Chicks. Gaia is basically a goddess so she has to be played by a really beautiful woman. And I refuse to cast anyone who isn't black for this part.

Captain Planet - Ryan Reynolds

Yes, I know he's really famous and that he was already a superhero. But he can make Captain Planet super sexy! Just picture him with blue skin and green hair. Plus he has the body already. And I tried, but I couldn't find anyone else. As of now, I'm still searching. No, Chris Pine nor Chris Evans could do it. Sorry.

Casting the guys was harder than casting the girls, to my surprise. But I found some I am satisfied with.

Kwame - James Davis

He was already in the Don Chedle Captain Planet as Kwame. But I really liked him. In the costume, with the wig, I could actually see Kwame. So I think he should take the big screen for this part.

Wheeler - Emile Hirsch

As seen in Into the Wild and Speed Racer I know he’s not a red head. The actor doesn’t have to be a red head through birth. I’ve seen people before cast Rupert Grint and Zach Efron. I wouldn’t even cast Rupert because he looks nothing like Wheeler. Emile and Wheeler both have that same cheeky grin! And with some red tint, I think he can do it!

Linka

Now this is the one I’m most defensive about because Linka was my hero as a little girl. She deserves someone good. Not Blake Lively, not Katherine Heigl, not Leighton Meester, not any of those Hollywood blondes. My rejection list for this one is high. Jennifer Lawrence? Too busy. Chloe Grace-Mortez? Who’s idea was that? Elle Fanning? No. Just… no.

I’ve rounded up four potentials.

4th Choice – Laura Ramsey

As seen in She’s the Man and The Ruins. Meh. Only if I'm seriously desperate.

3rd Choice – Amber Heard

As seen in Zombieland. All I know is, she’s a famous model. And I like what I see. She may be rising to fame slowly but she’s not at a high enough level where I’d usually say “No.” She’s got blonde hair, green eyes, pale skin, and a sexy face. Physically, that’s what Linkas actress needs.

2nd Choice – Emilie de Ravin

As seen in The Hills Have Eyes and Remember Me. She’s practically the twin sister of my first choice. I’ve gotton to know her acting recently since I became a big fan of Once Upon a Time, where she plays Belle. It’s a great show to watch to make up for a dull Sunday.

1st Choice – Leven Ramblin

As seen in The Hunger Games. I’ll be honest; I cheered for Katniss when she killed Glimmer, Leven’s character. But now, the more I like Leven, the more sorry I feel for Glimmer. That is not a fun way to die. Her part was small and she only had two significant moments in the whole movie, including her cringing death. When I saw Leven, I kind of saw Linka. She had a Russian-doll charm to her. If I was the casting director, I would just call her manager and say, “Leven’s gonna be Linka in the Captain Planet movie. Go tell her.”

Gi

There are three potential candidates I see in her part and they’re not Brenda Song or Jamie Chung. Brenda had her shot as Gi in the Don Chedle version, so I can say for a fact that it’s not the best idea. Jamie is beautiful, I will say that. But I see her more as Mulan than Gi.

3rd Choice – Chiyaki Kuriyama

As seen in Kill Bill and Exte: Hair Extensions. She hasn’t had much screen time and her English is not the best. But I am still impressed. She’s already shown me that she can fight and look sexy doing it. It’s a little hard to picture her with Gi’s haircut though which is why she’s my last choice.

2nd Choice – Ellen Wong

As seen in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In that movie, she already has a haircut similar to Gi’s so I saw the resemblance. It actually wasn’t me who found her; it was a friend on deviantArt who suggested her.

1st Choice – Gianna Jun

As seen in Blood: The Last Vampire. When I saw her picture (not this one), I immediately thought that Gi jumped out of the TV and became a real person. They have the same hair, same eye shape, and same facial features. Plus, she’s freaking gorgeous.

Ma-Ti – Mark Indelicato

Spot on, this kid. I saw his picture. I had my Ma-Ti. I wanted him to look childish compared to the others (after all, he is the baby of the group). I want this movie to be about them in the beginning, and not have it be some ten year reunion.

Look forward to part 2 where I pick the villains.

If you like this list, give it a thumbs up!
