My personal casting choices for a solo Batman film...
Director - Ben Affleck (Argo, The Town)
Whatever your thoughts on him playing The Dark Knight himself are - I think we can all agree that him not directing a DC movie would be a complete waste. He is a Batman fan himself, and masterpieces such as 'Argo' and 'The Town' show he has some serious directing chops. (Obviously, I'm using him as Batman in this fancast, same with Irons as Alfred.)
(Alternate choice: Gareth Evans)
Comissioner James Gordon - Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, Star Wars)
This version of Gordon would be more "tired" and "weary" to differ from Gotham and Nolan's younger version of the character, and to also give me a reason to not use Cranston. (Note: "Weary" in the "I'm old as shit and want to retire" sense, not the "I'm old as shit but MUH VENGANCE AND PARENTS" like they'll probably do Batman.)
Alt. Choice: Viggo Mortensen, Ted Danson, The usual Gordon cast.
Dick Grayson/Nightwing - Dave Franco (Now You See Me)
His character in Now You See Me reminded me of how I hope Dick is characterized in the DCLAU: Witty, kind of a douche (Well, he did spend most of his life with Bruce Wayne.), and fun-loving, kind of like "Spider-Man" more then "Daredevil-lite" like he is in many potrayals. Also, he looks like the character, so that's a plus.
Barbara Gordon/Oracle - Emma Watson (Harry Potter Franchise)
I've always had a really hard time deciding who would be the perfect Babs. When casting her I looked for someone who wouldn't look like she was cast simply to be eye candy, look like the actual character (and be at the right age) and be able to pull off "intelligent". So I decided Emma Watson would be able to pull it off. This is probably the only decision I'm not sure about.
The Joker - Sharlto Copley (The A Team, Elysium, Maleficent)
I'm really disappointed I didn't make a fancast here earlier, since I've thought Copley would be perfect for Joker for about a year, and it's apparently one of the "overused" fancast choices now. Oh well. Adding onto the shit you probably heard about Copley!Joker: I think his foreign accent would help emphasize on the "Unknown/Multiple origin(s)" thing Joker has in The Killing Joke.
Jason Todd/Red Hood - Jake Abel (Percy Jackson, Supernatural)
From what I've seen from Jake, he is at his best in villain/anti-heroic roles, and I can easily see him as Jason. Coincidentally, he played the third Winchester brother in Supernatural (Jensen Ackles plays Dean Winchester in the series, and plays Jason in Under The Red Hood.)
Roman Sionis/Black Mask - Matthew McConaughey (True Detective, The Wolf of Wall Street, Interstellar)
I really doubt he would sign a multi-film contract, so I think he would be best for a character who would probably only appear once. With that in mind, he would be phenomenal as Roman Sionis, his southern accent would actually fit Black Mask. He also has a lot of range, since he became a great actor at some point in 2011.
Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin - Ray Winstone
Unlike previous interpretations, Ozzie wouldn't be a mob boss, he would just have really big connections in Gotham's underworld and having inside sources/info on happenings in Gotham, due to hearing many things at The Iceberg Lounge. Unusually, he would actually be a close ally to Batman, and give him information on the organized crime in Gotham, in exchange for money, of course.
Edward "Nygma" Nashton/The Riddler - Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds)
I've thought he would be a great Riddler since I saw Criminal Minds for the first time years ago. We saw what he can do in the role in Arkham Assault (He voiced The Riddler) and my opinion hasn't changed: He is the perfect Riddler.
