FANCAST: And the new cast of the Fantastic Four is?

Who I think should be cast in the Fantastic Four reboot.

With 20th Century Fox announcing last week that Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot will be released March 6th, 2015 that will compete with the Avengers sequel and a Justice League movie, I've compiled a list of actors who should portray Marvel's First Family and characters within their universe.

I know Edward Norton said he is not interested in playing comic book characters but remember when Marvel Studios parted ways with Edward Norton from playing the Incredible Hulk? Norton said that karma will catch up with Marvel, while what better way to stick it to Kevin Feige and the powers that be at Marvel Studios than to portray Richard Reeds aka Mr. Fantastic in the reboot. Having played Bruce Banner already Norton knows his science lingo. He has a skinny slim physique and looks the part with a dash of gray hair.

Julie Benz is a perfect fit to play Sue Storm. Benz has experience in the comic book genre from having an supporting role as Angela Donatelli in Punisher: War Zone or as Dr. Stephanie Powell on No Ordinary Family which was pretty much a knock off of Marvel's First Family the Fantastic Four. So if you think about it Sue Storm and Dr. Stephanie Powell are somewhat the same character, both are scientist and got their powers through freak accidents. Not to mention Benz is a badass MILF!!!! Just thought I'd ad that in there.

Johnny Storm has to be young, brash, impetuous, radically cool and a ladies man so why not Cam Gigandet? Gigandet is best known from his roles in the Twilight Series and Never Back Down so he has a few good movies under his belt. Gigandet has common physical attributes to that of the Human Torch and has a certain swagger that of Johnny Storm.

Bruce Willis is one of the greatest action stars of our generation and I think he would be a great as Ben Grimm. When promoting his latest movie at the time Red Willis addressed the rumors of possibly being cast as The Thing on MTV saying "It's a rumor, but I love rumors, but I haven't gotten the call yet." "It's a good rumor." With that said it seems he would be up for the part and when has Bruce Willis ever really turned down a movie? The guy was in the Expendables for goodness sake.

Christoph Waltz would be my choice as Doctor Doom. He is an Academy Award Winner best known for playing villains such as Colonel Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds or Benjamin Chudnofsky in The Green Hornet. Waltz plays a very convincing bad guy, he may be short for the part but will make up for it with tremendous acting chops.

Paul Essiembre was the voice of the Sulver Surfer for 1998 animated TV series on Fox Kids, as for as I'm concerned he did a good job with his voice over so why not bring back a familiar voice to that of Silver Surfer.

Who better to voice Galactus the devourer of worlds than James Earl Jones. Jones voice alone has a presence that commands respect, instills fear and echos throughout a room. I don't even need to mention how years later people remember his voice as Darth Vader and what he has able to do with such an iconic character. It's only right he be cast in the role as Galactus as another potential iconic villain Jones could launch into movie history as one of the greatest villains to hit the big screen like he did with Darth Vader.

Good cast, but it just doesn't feel right to me,specially Willis,no offense. For me,the feel has to be more mature(to an extent) & the characters need to be able to portray & feel like a family.

Lee Pace (I know, done too death) for me is what I hope Reed will be in the movie. Intelligent, compassionate & very indifferent at times. Pushing Daisies was his audition, that's how I see Reed,he had the ever-man thing down but with a charm & slightly dark humor that I think is ideal for Reed.

Elizabeth Banks, is super hot & the right age for this part,if they do sequels & bring in the kids, she'll feel more realistic having played moms (MILF anyone) in other movies. Her range is amazing, from comedy, drama, indy etc,she can do it all. If you haven't seen "our idiot brother" check it out, she's brilliant in it. But she can do the sophisticated maternal yet sexy mother type character, who's strength & compassion helps keep the family together.

I Cam is alright I guess, I would have gone for someone a little younger perhaps. You may hate or judge me harshly, but Sterling Knight from Disney channel seems a right fit for me. He's the right age now, his recent movie with Jim Caviezel was his attempt to loose the DK image (pun not entirely intended). He was good,I forget the name of the movie, but google it,a young brash, arrogant yet like able smartass. He just needs to bulk up.

I stick with this choice, I think its perfect, but Donnie Wahlberg is perfect for Ben. See roles like Saw2 & Blue bloods, he has the NY drawl, the badass feel & the right attitude, plus he can convey so much with his eyes, which is what The Thing will have to do. Like Chicless,he'll just make his voice a lil gruff, use CGI but it should be him in the scenes acting with his co stars.

Victor Von Doom, help me please here, I know he played in New Amsterdam & will appear in Mama next, he's a Scandinavian actor, who's played many a supporting role. I feel he can do the part justice, has the correct type of accent & he has an imposing build from his Game of Thrones character. I'd love to see him in the Role.

Galactus should be a character left for a finale in a trilogy. Yeah it would be great if this was with Marvel, then have him introduced in a FF3 then have all those characters, Avengers,Spidey, etc with FF in a ending as in the final EMH episode. Yes way too many characters, but if its done almost like a Black Hawk down, we are just dumped in the middle of the action, it would be great. Like Avengers there would be no need for much back story, Just the drama of each character in the wake of total decimation at the world eater.

But dare to dream right...sight

this whole thing is off. Norton, as its been said, thats just bad. Benz is great, maybe a little to old for Sue. Cam, the same thing and thats my only gripe with those 2 picks.

for the love of Yancy Street can we please pick a Ben, Reed and Doom that are (close to) the same freakin age? C'mon!!!!

Darth Vader cant be anyone elses voice except Vader and Mufasa, ooh say it again! MUUUU-fasaaaah

Not a fan of Edward Norton as Reed Richards, he's veg out for the sequel and have to get recast (with someone who does a better job...as Ruffalo did).

People need to remember that behind the mask, Dr. Doom is also Victor Von Doom, the man who was once considered as rather charming, whereas Waltz, despite having proven himself as very capable of portraying antagonist characters, doesn't have that look nor charm to fit for the role. Doom is not only evil...he's also got the face. And even if he'll always don the mask in the movie he appears in, I think that aspect is still necessary to give the audiences this sense of believability, not to mention the tragedy of the character which is related to that element which is supposed to be inevitably touched upon in the new movie. Through flashbacks, perhaps...

Meanwhile, I've personally never thought that Willis would fit Ben Grimm well. Maybe it's Michael Chiklis who established the "Ben is bald" trend, but as far as I remember, Ben Grimm has never been bald on a regular basis in the original comics. That's just from the physical aspect; the fact that Willis is far older than the rest of the team members included in this cast is another thing that makes it even more off. Again, maybe it's Chiklis' inclusion in the previous franchise that started this "trend," but the true Fantastic Four movie would have a Ben Grimm who looks believable enough as someone of Reed Richards' age, being a former classmate of the latter - and also Victor Von Doom's. (OK, I don't exactly recall if that element was present in 2005's Fantastic Four, but to be fair, Michael Chiklis is around 10 years older than Ioan Gruffudd!)

Try considering Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Mads Mikkelsen, or David Morrissey (although the latter's age might be a problem, too) for Doom, and Adam Baldwin for Ben Grimm. Except for James Earl Jones, the rest of the cast could still work fine despite the flaws, sans those two above.
