Hey guys, I'm back for Pt. 2 of my Marvel fan cast. Just as a refresh here are my rules for the cast.
The rules:
1. I'm going to disregard all current actors cast in Marvel roles (even if they are the best choice)
2. I'm going to try and steer away from the normal fan cast picks because that'd be boring to re read the same thing.
3. I'm going to try and avoid actors that have been cast in CBMs already
I really like Colin Hanks and think he could bring a very smart likeable vibe to Reed. He has the look in my opinion and would be believeable as this super genius with just a little bit of a dorky streak.
Yvonne would be prefect as Susan Storm. She absolutely has the look and could play the sexy and tough other half to Hanks' Richards. Plus as an added bonus she looks like she could actually be the sister of my Human Torch pick.
Alan would be a great Human Torch cause he is that cocky, smartass, jock, showboating character that Johnny is. If you haven't seen Alan in much, check him out in Blue Mountain State - His character in that show could work for Johnny if it was just adjusted in some areas.
So alot of people may not know Joe from anything but if you don't I suggest you check out Stargate:Atlantis immediately. Joe has the look for Ben but even better he can absolutely embody the tough military pilot type of character. Plus if you've seen SGA I think his characters relationship with Dr. McKay would be pretty close to the way he interacts with Reed.
So alot of people know who Richard is no fromhis role in the Hobbit series but thats not actually why I picked him. It was actually his part in the tv show Strike Back that got me thinking he would be a great Dr. Doom. Aside from having that tough leaderlike quality he also comes across as someone who could be power hungry, driven and a member of nobility.
Rick Yune to me already has the look of Namor (maybe sharpen his brows like the did for Quinto in ST) He has the facial structure, body and just overall look in his eyes that could convince you he is Namor. He isn't super well know but he is a damn good actor and can sure as hell play the pompous, powerful, arrogant character that is Namor.
I think Glacatus should be played by a guy that can become almost robot like yet still keep a distinct personality. Fehr has that talent along with resembling the character more than enough. I always saw Galactus as this kind of regal unfliching force and I think Oded could bring that to life on screen.
Joe would be great as Super-Skrull based on looks alone. But add to that the way he can portray an insanley powerful character who has a sort of raw animalistic quality to him and you have the perfect portrayal of SS.
Jason Alexander is the perfect person to play Mole Man becuase not only is he quite a short individual, and looks eerily like MM but he also can be such a little weird creep. Jason is actually a very funny individual (I know many people personally who didn't like George Costanza) and could bring a little humor to a weird character like Mole Man.
This will probably be the most controversial casting choice of this edition but I'm good with that. First of I love Stromare and think the way he can bring deep scary characters to life is amazing. Looks don't really mean much on this casting cause Annihilus would probably be 99% CGI anyway but I still think of the character when I look at Stromare. Oh and an added bonus for any Big Lebowski fans - he'd be playin a nihilist ;)
Well there you have it guys, edition two of my ongoing Marvel fan cast. Once again I hop you like it (please comment even if you didn't) And also any suggestions on characters to cast in future editions would be appreciated.
