With Sam Mendes expected to direct an adaptation of the Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon series, this is who I would imagine playing 5 of the main characters.

Im not too good with messing about with images and just used paint but sure, you get the idea anyway ;)

I was going to cast Arseface but and a few others but call this a start.

Sorry dude,not feeling this cast at all. Franco might be ok,,Harris too, but the rest are really not the best choices at all. Murphy for one, simply cant act..and even when her deer eyed "wacky" schtick works for her(Sin City) Tulip is nothing like that. Monaghan for Cassidy? Im not even gonna comment! Reamr I like..but is he really Saint material?

Im not the biggest Brittanty Murphy fan myself but I think she's got the looks and the sass to play Tulip.
People seem to have a problem with Monaghan but theres something about him that always spoke Cassidy to me. And he's a Scot so the Irish accent shouldnt be too tricky.

Definately gonna have to go with Rorschach on this one, but as of now, I can't for the life of me figure out a good cast... Hmms, maybe something I'll have to work on.

I like BRITTANY for HARLEY but she could play the role too!

Nice work VAL, though dunno about GOBLIN boy for PREACHER, but then again i cant think of anyone any better??? ; P

@Lee- yeah, Im re-reading at the moment, its amazing.

Cant believe I never saw the resemblance between Ackles and Arseface before! Its uncanny! ;)

Ya, a fair bit. Though Im pretty broke these days and the buggers are expensive. Main ones are Preacher, Hellblazer, Fables, Jack of Fables and currently almost finished The Sandman. VERTIGO rocks!!

Awesome pic for the Saint, I would pay money to watch this movie. Mads Mikkelsen is one I'd like to see as Starr though. Any other characters chosin yet?

@Ugh- cheers! Mads Mikkelson would also make an excelent Starr. The only other one (aside from Lee's suggestion of Ackles;) I could think of it Sam Rockwell as TC..

Nice one. Green Mile really sold me on that pick. I'm thinking Kurt Russel as the Duke, Matthew McConaughey as a possible Jody. I can see that guy playing a real covincing A-hole.
