With the lack of a costumed Superman in the series finale of Smallville, I am highly anticipating some preview images of Henry Cavill as Superman. So what will the costume look like?? Do you think it will remain faithful to the comics, films, and previous incarnations or will we be seeing something completely out of the norm??

Um...thanks, no. Sorry!

The only part I like on that pic are the boots. The rest looks...meh.

Sorry, but can't see Supes without the classic costume! You may change little bits of it but not the whole design.

But I really dig the art, VERY cool rendering, awesome! Did you do it by yourself?

If yes, tell me how did you do the colors?

And again if yes, make a modified classic one, then show me that.

This is really cool, u got a lot of talent man!
Admittedly, I'm not liking the suit redesign, it just seems to different, I'm all 4 finally ditching the trunks, but u should do one with Cavill in a suit that is more faithful to the original. Maybe something like what they did with Bruce's new Batman suit?
Still keep up the good work man, really liking ur art style!

Also, check out my X-Men if u get the chance!

That's really great art work, but I'm not really liking the design. That's kinda how I expected the costume to look on Smallville before I found out they were using the returns suit.
Like what Jolt17 said, I can't see Superman without the classic costume, pants and all. Maybe minor tweaks and updates, but all the components need to be there for me. Sorry!
Still, nice work though!

Great work! I really like the design but I see it more as a 'Dress' suit for official functions and the like, if you know what I mean!

i agree with jolt on thie one, lose the caller around his neck, maybe add some sort of red trunks and maybe a yellow belt and this might say superman ;) in anycase fantastic wirk very well done.

GAW!!! people are rediculous. Todey "Spiderman" Mcguire was the only costume, aside from Superman, that stayed reletively the same. why do ppl get so bent out of shape over Supes changing the costume but its ok when Batman does it. It looks very regal. i like it. ur very talented like others have said

@ar8898

That is an awesome costume. I don't know whether you made it or not, but great job! I would love to see that in the movie and I am really looking forward to it.

Too bad they won't use a costume like this. This is a very good one. It almost makes me want to consider considering liking the character. :p

I don't particularly like the design of the Superman costume, but great artwork nonetheless.

Thanks for all the comments. It's something a little different but I thought it was a cool modernization of the costume. I'm a huge fan of the classic suit as well, if anyone has some cool ideas of how they think the suit should look for the new movie, post em here. I would love to see your ideas.

wow! This is so cool!
Usually I roll my eyes at untraditional Superman designs, but I actually really love this. In particular, its the best idea to replace the underwear (love the two shades of blue.)
Love the collar and everything.

Do you have a website? I'd love to check out more of your art.

@ar8898 cool dude tho, if I may suggest...

Make the unnecessary lines more transparent, they are good but they don't need to be that clear. Believe me with them being transparent is a right way to modernize the classic suit.

Remove the damn collar!

The long pants are good; color them the same as the suit, and last...

Throw in some belt and short pants (yes Supes can't be Supes without them lol), not necessarily that kind of old-school short pants but just put a kind of pants on!

Short pants and belt will avoid the long pants to look like 'captain leatherpants' styled like some said ^^^ imo!
