In the base of the government military cell called Cadmus, there was general Swanwick walking in.
“General Swanwick, sir.” Greeted the woman already there, Amanda Waller.
“Yes as you know I have been named the new liaison of Cadmus after the unfortunate death of Senator Hammond.” explained General Swanwick “I believe you have information on the green figure similar to the military’s alien friend Superman.”
“Yes the one that saved Carol Ferris daughter of the CEO of Ferris air as well as the one who stopped the invasion made by the giant yellow creature.” Amanda said looking at the newspaper reports of the mysterious green clad being.
“Ms Ferris herself said her rescuer came to her but he did not say much about himself.” Amanda said reading the interview Carol Ferris had done.
“What have you gathered about this individual?” Swanwick asked wondering if this was another Kryptonian or something, maybe a leftover from Zod’s invasion.
From her table Amanda picked up an analysis report Cadmus had managed to make of this figure.
“Days before the figure first appeared we found another alien that was wearing the same suit this figure would be wearing.” Amanda clarified “From what we can gather with his hand he seems to be able to create green objects and weapons, seemingly out of thin air.”
“Interesting.” Swanwick said with his hand to his chin “maybe our little alien friend can convince him to come and talk to us!”

Hal Jordan the Green Lantern was flying about the planet, looking for any danger. Ever since a week ago when he defeated Parallax he spent most of his time going out with Carol, hanging out with Tom and training on Oa.
Not much for him to do, this planet was not very exciting the more he thought about it.....
He spoke too soon as some blue and red blur raced past him, “What the hell!” Hal shouted as the blur came racing towards him.
He put up a shield construct and the blur stopped a few inches of it, Hal gasped when he recognised the figure as Superman the alien that stopped that other alien invasion about two months before he joined the Green Lantern Corps.
“Easy green man.” Superman said softly and gently to Hal “my friends just want to talk........”

Hal could not believe he had allowed Superman to let him take him to an army base and still in his uniform, he was now in the same interrogation room that Superman was in when he allowed the army to take him in.
Then came in General Swanwick and Amanda, “I am General Swanwick and this is Amanda Waller, we just want to ask a few questions.” Swanwick said to the emerald guy with the domino mask.
“Including your relationship with this alien.” Amanda said showing him a picture they took of the alien they had, which Hal recognised as his predecessor Abin Sur.
Hal thought he would have to honest truthfully as long as they don’t ask any personal questions and hope they can buy it.

Half an hour later
“So let me get this straight.” General Swanwick asked “you say you are called the Green Lantern.”
“Yep.” Hal answered with a nod.
“You say you are a human who was drafted into becoming a Green Lantern who are basically space cops and are employed by aliens looking like Smurfs to carry rings which are powered by will itself.” Amanda questioned somehow saying all that with a straight face.
Hal nodded and the two government agents decided the best way to gain his trust would be to take his word for it, “You are free to go!” Swanwick said much to Hal’s surprise.
“Thanks!” Hal said shocked as he was let out of the base and was allowed a base.
“I hear there are other costumed people turning up.” Swanwick told Amanda as they saw Hal fly away “including a bat themed vigilante in Gotham and an archer in Starling City. I want you to set up a failsafe contingency to recruit them and to be activated if this planet faces a threat it cannot face on its own.”
“What do you want me to call this contingency?” Amanda asked her superior.
Swanwick thought for a moment before he answered “Let’s call it..........the Justice League Protocol.”
