Mistress Kizuna casts... Jennifer Garner's possible role in The Avengers!

With all of the rumors going around, I decided to toss in my 2 cents in this.

Jennifer Garner, for me anyway, is a bit "hit-and-miss" when it comes to acting. When she's good, she's great, and I do enjoy watching her. Not to mention she actually looks like a convincing action star, as opposed to those bony waifs Hollywood is so obsessed with these days. When she's bad, she sucks. Elektra ring any bells? Of course, it wasn't really her fault, and to be honest, she was a really miscast in that part.

So on topic...

With her being rumored for The Avengers, who are incorporating S.H.I.E.L.D. and whatnot, I started to realize, "Hey, she'd actually be good for Maria Hill!"





What do you think? Jen Garner as Maria Hill, yay or nay?

Rather have her no way near THE AVENGERS!!! (Hopefully it'll never happen)

Though can deal with that role kudos, but all i really see is ELEKRA!

I can deal with this. Garner's a decent actress IMO, not the best by any means but certainly not awful. Her work on Alias and her enjoyable performance in Juno were evidence to me that she is talented. I can't blame her for the admittedly "off" performance she gave in DD, that really was a miscast from the start. And she had shit direction, a shit script and, again, a character she just didn't fit in Elektra. I wouldn't complain if she was Maria Hill.

Awesome idea!! Way better than having her as Wasp or as Scarlet Witch.

not a bad idea....
i can see her as a straight laced by the book officer who grudgingly accepts orders from a man who breaks rules on a daily basis.
this could really bring her back into the spotlight if done right!

@ThalesJ: TBH, I don't really like the Evangeline Lilly-Wasp suggestion (mostly because I find her so annoying on Lost).

@AnilRickly: Katee Sackhoff needs to be in a comic book movie for sure. She's also a good Maria Hill suggestion, but I've also been seeing her as Domino and Typhoid Mary.

But NO to Lucy Liu as Wasp - just because Ultimate Wasp is Asian doesn't mean Liu's right for it. Even Janet herself said no to it. If they're going to cast an Asian actress for Wasp, I'd rather they get Maggie Q or Grace Park (who I've been personally pushing for).

@Tankgirl: Hmm, I like the Allison Miller-Scarlet Witch choice. She was amazing in Kings and very beautiful as well. My top choice is still Eva Green, but Allison is a nice choice.

For a new Elektra, I'd cast Rhona Mitra.

Alison Miller looks alot like Katie Holmes. I have never seen Alison act yet though. I don't really mind if Jennifer Garner is cast as anyone in Avengers, the way I see it is if the cast has to keep up with RDJ then they will do their best or get left behind.
