The final word on G.I. Joe

First, I presumed it would suck. Then people told me it was good. I made sure it was the last summer movie for me.

That movie sucked. The only cool part was snake eyes dodging the two cars while on top of the s.u.v....
acting-terrible
action-was mediocre
story-actually wasn't all that bad, just a little too predictable, but then again it is G.I.Joe
dialogue- that movie ear raped me...

I hate that there will be a sequel.

And Cobra's mask was so stupid!!!!!

2.5 out 5, I do not see myself watching that movie again... it is the amazement factor of Max Payne, or Punisher 1... in the end, it was just campy.

hmmm, funny, that's what i love about this website, complete close mindedness. and you never finished your first statement... so you're saying that because i ... that i... and i'm saying that you can't really compare this movie to district nine. this film was a childish summer blockbuster that focused on action rather than story (which i'm fine with, but make the action good at least) as opposed to district 9, which was... good.

then you were watching the movie (district 9) in the wrong context, if you watch it to see a robot fighting a spaceship, then your in for an hour of storyline and no action. and cobra's mask sucked period, whether it was a prototype or not, why would anyone put that piece of garbage in a movie. that dancing actor who played duke is a tool, who can't act, and the entire movie was so power ranger esque. and power rangers was only awesome when i was 6, so if you're six, then i see where you're coming from. i'm sure you thought TMNT out did Encounters of the Third Kind as well?

no i thought tmnt 2007 movie was good and i went to see d9 because ppl said it was good and my cuzzin wanted to see it so we saw it but every1 in the theater said g.i.Joe was way better and all my cuzzin and even i said it sucked every1 was falling to sleep in the beginning

i disliked gi joe and whether or not a theater full of rednecks and 6 year olds liked it or hated it, i think as a full movie, plot, acting, and then action, it was a lot better than gi joe. if you think otherwise, i don't care, this is my review, make your own :p...

dark knight @ i'm arguing for the sake of arguing, there's nothing to do at 2-4 in the morning except watch adult swim and be an internet smart ass. i didn't like batman and robin that much, but i really liked the batmans that were directed by Tim Burton... Michael Keaton= best live action batman...

Your pretty spot on Godling. Its silly to even compare the 2 movies anyway. But flames, the fact that you like only the action part of D9 and loved GI Joe makes it pretty clear that your all about the effects and the explosions in movies. If a good story isn't your thing then there is no way you would like D9
