The Scientist Supreme: Hank Pym

The Scientist Supreme: Hank Pym

An Ant-Man movie looks like it's going to get made, but what about the future of Hank Pym? Here's my take...

Hey guys. I wasn't entirely sure if this belonged in editorial or fan fic but hey ho. I've just had some ideas and thoughts in my head surrounding Hank Pym, and how he will be portrayed in the movies. I'm just writing down a load of my thoughts about it and seeing what you guys also think about it.

We know that there is an Ant-Man script being constantly rewritten with Edgar Wright as the man at the helm. We know that this will include Hank Pym and potentially also Scott Lang.

This brings me to my main thoughts of how this could continue into a franchise.

Firstly, my main thought is that surely Ant-Man won't be the only hero we see Hank Pym portray. I'd also like to see him as Giant Man and Yellow Jacket. Therefore, if he changed character, would they change the title of his future movie? That question led me to this option...The Hank Pym Trilogy.

You start with a cameo of him (and Jan) in the Avengers movie. Nick Fury is showing Cap, Tony, or Bruce Banner around the Triskelion introducing them to SHIELD's various projects and he tells them how Hank has discovered Pym particles, as demonstrated by his wife. We see the Ant-Man helmet sitting half finished on the table in the lab.

We then get the Ant-Man movie which focuses on Hank as Ant-Man and Jan as Wasp. Throughout the movie we see Hank working on Ultron (what I thought would be cool is rather than see him working on it physically, we see it on a table in his workshop and as the movie progresses it gets more and more complete) which will lead to the robot becoming the villain in the Avengers sequel. At the end of the movie we then have Hank passing on the torch to Scott Lang. Hank could then finish the film with a very cheesy line, "I have BIGGER plans for the future."

After that we have Hank becoming Giant Man in Avengers 2 and a Giant Man movie and then finally having a Yellow Jacket movie and any other Avengers films.

I really like this idea of having a Hank Pym trilogy, with Scott Lang carrying on the Ant-Man franchise. If it's done right it shouldn't be too confusing for non-comic book readers. A title that I quite liked to join them all together would be The Scientist Supreme.

(The) Scientist Supreme: Ant-Man
(The) Scientist Supreme: Giant Man
(The) Scientist Supreme: Yellow Jacket

So what are your thoughts? Good idea or a load of balls?
Share your ideas as well. Cheers :)

Oh and P.S.
I suppose I should share my preferred actor for the role. In all honesty I don't know why I thought of him, he just came into my head when I was thinking about it and he seemed to just fit so perfectly with how I viewed these movies.

Hank Pym - Matthew Fox

sounds kinda interesting, but I'd title them differently and have each of Hank's alter egos appear in their own films, not debut in the Avengers.
I'd call them

Hank Pym: Ant-Man, Hank Pym: Giant Man, and Hank Pym: The Yellow Jacket, where the titles would be stylized to have the 'Hank Pym' prefix as small text above the larger logo for the film titles 'Ant-Man', 'Giant Man', etc, similar to how the Narnia films have the prefix 'The Chronicles of Narnia', or the Twishite films have the prefix 'The Twilight Saga'.

@ACira...yeah, that's what I was thinking with the Scientist Supreme title. Just a way to connect them so they're a distinguished trilogy but have it so that it's each of his alter egos which are the main title.
