Hello true believers,

I'm here to show you guys the plot summary, episode guide & character guide for our upcoming live-action Youtube fan series, Mystery Inc.

I'm not expecting a whole lot of huzzahs & hoorays for this, I'm just hoping that if your a fan of CW's Supernatural you'll like it, or if you're an old school Scooby Doo fan you'll get a kick out of seeing a new twist on everyone's favourite kid's cartoon.

Just before I get started, I'll give you a brief summary of what the series is and what will happen in the opening scene, before I put in the official synopsis etc. etc.

When a mystery goes awry, it causes the deaths of three members of Mystery Inc. Velma Dinkley, Daphne Blake and team mascot Scooby Doo. (yeah Scooby Doo series with no Scooby Doo we get it). One year later, Fred Jones the former leader of Mystery Inc. returns to his home-town of Crystal Cove in search of his old friend Shaggy Rogers (who has since beefed up quite a bit).

'One year after the death of his friends, Fred Jones returns to Crystal Cove looking for Shaggy Rogers, when the two meet Shaggy is reluctant to go anywhere with Fred until Fred reveals a horrifying truth to him, all the people in masks that they 'caught' weren't just people in masks.. hell they weren't even human. The series will follow the two boys on the hunt for everything that they didn't stop with the help of a certain friend (who has expertise in the supernatural) Vincent Van Ghoul.'

So now that you guys know the basic premise hopefully I have you interested, if not then you might as well click off the article now cos It's just more and more info about our show.

Basically the idea for Scoobynatural started with the idea for a five minute fan trailer in hopes to peak interest (which will be arriving on YouTube in the coming months once we finish filming), but me being the eager beaver that I am, I went on and wrote up episode after episode until finally we had the premise for an entire season, and after some coercing and jostling around in our diaries with studying and other plans we have managed to make it work. So that's what brings us here, basically I'm here to see if anyone would actually give a rats ass about this or if it's just an idea that wont actually appeal to everyone, but please no trolling this is taking a lot of hard work from all of us and we'd love if you guys gave it a chance.

In terms of villains from each show, I hand picked villains from every episode/movie/TV special of Scooby Doo ever made and managed to pair them up with Supernatural villains that I found most appropriate.

Please reserve your judgement until you have seen the trailer, but for now here's a brief summary of the episodes for the first season, should the feedback be positive and we decide it's in our best interest to make it, because after all. It's non-profit, made for entertainment and made for geeks like us who love comic books, pop culture references, bad ass music and there would be no point in us making this show, if the fans of the original source material will hate it so please, for your consideration. The run through of Season One of Mystery Inc.

Kingston is in Kansas. Shaggy & Freddy are on their way with the van's back full of guns, three kegs of beer, two boxes of pizza and Styx blasting on the radio. What could possibly go wrong.

As you can see I've tried to put as many character from both shows in as we can and of course if you have any queries on certain villains who will be in each episode don't hesitate to ask my friends, please feel free to comment and let us know.

Stay classy San Diego.

UPDATED!

Hello again! After some hard work and constant trying we've finished our bible for the show! the bible is comprised of an episode guide for both seasons (yeah we managed to plan out a second season, which if things go well we will put into production soon afterwards), a guide to the villains (which also tells what creature they really are and how they are killed in the show **this will be blacked out so we don't ruin the show**, some scans of the DVD case for season one (not these are free and they will be in public demand when all episodes are made) and of course a few pages from the script for our trailer, which once casting is finished should go into production in July of this year.

As you can see there are quite a few noticeable differences from the original incarnations of Scooby Doo for the villains and the creature types from the Supernatural series. For example creatures like the iconic Scooby Doo villains AREN'T spooky phantoms making that cheesy 'OoOoOoOo' sound,
They are seen that way in flashbacks and people who witnessed the creatures claim that is what they look like. But in reality this is an appearance they put on, they come to Fred & Shaggy in the form of business-men types, as there are three different coloured phantoms these are the colours of suit that they wear.

So without further ado here is our concept art by Jordavis Studios!

These images are not grouped by episode, they are put together from various sheets in order to keep some things a secret. We also added some info on each characters appearance and their presence in the show.

Above we see; (left to right) Ben Ravencroft; the villain from Scooby Doo and The Witches Ghost,
“Gramps the Vamps”; this is the nickname Fred gives him in our show but he is the villain from the original Scooby Doo series “Scaredy Cats & Vampire Bats!”; in our show unlike Supernatural they dont have the rows of fangs top and bottom like sharks, they have traditional vampire teeth but they extend out further than normal and finally Zen Tuo; another original Scooby villain from the episode “Mystery Mask Mix Up”; unlike the original series he is not the 'Ghost of Zen Tuo' he is The Trickster; which is the reason we get to have the character so much like the original without it being creepy.

Above is two iconic SD villains; both of which are The Trickster. Before you ask, yes Episode 3- Nightmare at the Museum, is one of the funnier episodes. Plenty of gags and personally one of my favourite moments of the season. Fred has just questioned a witness and returns to the van pissed, due to the fact someone claimed they came across a kind of iconic caveman. Fred then references this villain and nicknames him “Captain Caveman”, a reference to of-course the Hannah Barbera series. He enters the van to find Shaggy sleeping, upon entering the van we hear the song '7 days a week' by Austin Roberts from the Scooby Doo episode 'Jeepers it's the Creeper'.

We also have a lot of classic rock in every episode much like Supernatural, but music that is suited to each episode not just thrown in randomly because we like the song. Like the episode “Creep” based around the boys being hunted by the most famous Scooby Doo villain (with the exception of maybe The Black Knight ghost). Where strangely it is 85-90% songs by Nirvana, which isn't exactly what you would associate with The Creeper; but the ending theme does fit the character well. Also, in the episode “The Walking Dead” which is obviously based around zombies. Where we see Fred & Shaggy trapped in a town full of the undead, but the above zombie on the left isn't from this particular episode, he makes a minor appearance in the episode “It's Terror Time Again” an adaptation of the movie 'Scooby Doo on Zombie Island' with obviously a lot of things changed, but we did manage to squeeze a lot of references in to this episode, like Shaggy mentioning that there's 'some weird mojo' in the house he is staying while investigating a job, mojo is a reference to the name of the hunting pig from the early moments of the show. Not to mention the zombies not actually being the real villains; the real villains are the cat creatures, not to give a lot away but you will notice that the certain zombie above has a peculiar scratch on his face..

I think that's enough of the ideas for the villains; I think we can show two more pieces of concept art but these ones aren't for villains or creatures, there for the shows.. ehm heroes. If that's what you can call them. The boys aren't quite as soft as they were in the old incarnations, they do have a lot of similarities to the iconic Shaggy & Fred. They eat a lot, Fred loves his traps and Shaggy overuses the word 'like', sadly so far in the scripts for first season we never hear Shaggy say zoinks but Fred does tease him with it.

Although the show is about both of the boys, it's safe to say Shaggy is the main character. He isn't your parents' Shaggy (or maybe your Shaggy) depending on how old you are. He is a very complex guy. This Shaggy, is very distant. He only really kept a small group of friends in 2009, and three of them died all at once and his only remaining friend left town and left him.

Shaggy became very distant, never talked much. Hit the gym, hard. Due to the excessive amount of food he ate gradually he would put on more and more weight but due to the amount of time he worked out for he became more and more physically fit. He told Fred, that the Shaggy he once was is dead. He wasn't that guy any more, to show this he shaved off his goatee and trimmed his hair, he refused to be the wimpy little kid he once was. He's now 23, with thin, trimmed hair and a slight goatee (since Fred came back into town he let it grow a little), and a more athletic frame, muscular frame and a protective symbol tattooed on his right arm, the same as Fred. This was given to them by a fellow hunter from a band of hunter who formerly went by the name The Hex Girl, one of them Luna, Shaggy is briefly romantically involved with.

And our final concept is of Shaggy's friend and partner Fred Jones. Although Fred is still haunted by the fact he was awake and had to watch in horror as Elias Kingston killed his friends. Fred also follows the same philosophy as Shaggy, saying he isn't the same as he once was. He shaved all of his pretty blonde locks and locked away his van.

He went on a journey on his own with noone to tie to him down, this is never full expanded on in the first season, but we have definite plans for showing what happened in these 'missing months'.

As much of Fred's background will give away a lot of main plot points and big moments in the show I'll keep it short and tell you, Fred is gonna kick a lot of ass.

Finally, here's the last of the BTS special on our aspiring little show. The first image is the first of the shows logos and title pictures, the second is a page of dialogue and notes from the script, the third is some hints at the show from a few pages from our villains guide and episode guides and finally the last piece is the front cover for one of our many FREE DVD cases.

This image ^, is the front cover of the season one dvd.

This is a look inside the villains guide and a little look at what types of creatures these villains are in our story.

This is one of the pages from the script for the extended trailer.

so guys that's it! Please leave a comment and let us know what you think!!!
