VIDEO GAME IDEA: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Infinity

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance was a great game! Here's my idea on what could happen on a sequel...

Synopsis:

After successfully defending the Earth against the World Eater, Galactus, the heroes are now threathened by an enemy lurking in the shadows who plans to destroy all life in the galaxy using six powerful gems called "The Infinity Gems". Now, our heroes will embark on a journey through the galaxy to find these gems before the Mad Titan, Thanos, and defeat him and his villainous allies.

Gameplay:

The gameplay would be pretty much the same of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 and it would still have the 4 character team with the main team being Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Hulk due to their current popularity in the movies. All characters have a large variety of skins that can be obtained by defeating a specific number of enemies with the exception for DLC skins.

There would be three levels of difficulty: Easy, Normal and Hard.

After beating the game, the player would unlock the What If? Mode. This mode would be pretty much the same of Spider-Man (PS1)'s What If? Mode where comical things would happen throughout the game and special cameos would pop up. Stan Lee would be hidden in every level and would say different things depending on the situation and/or character he's talking with. If the player manages to find Stan Lee in all levels, he becomes available as a playable character.

The player would be able to collect comic books and get access to nice animations telling the origin story of each character.

Graphics:

The game would run on a customized Unreal Engine 3 (or 4) and it would feature highly detailed textures both for the character models and the environment.

The start of the game would be similar to the God of War on the fact that it would start right away with Galactus trying to destroy Earth. The heroes would have to advance through the city and defeat Galactus' minions and some street-level villains causing trouble while Galactus sometimes tries to attack you when too close until they reach a place where they can fight Galactus and ban him from Earth, teleporting him to somewhere in space with a device designed by Reed Richards.

While he is fighting the heroes, Galactus is attacked by someone from behind. It's Thanos, who plans to steal the power of the Devourer of Worlds. Galactus turns his attention to Thanos and tries to kill him. Thanos is heavily injured and decides to flee, claiming that he has greater plans and that soon all the galaxy would perish. The heroes continue with their plan to teleport Galactus and they succeed.

Some time after the battle against Galactus, SHIELD receives contact from Nova (or the Guadians of the Galaxy) that the whole galaxy is in danger as Thanos plans to use the six Infinity Gems to kill more than half of the population of the galaxy. The Guardians of the Galaxy have some idea of where the gems are located, but Thanos has allied himself with various villains (including villains from Earth) so there's great chance that they will end up having to fight them in order to take the gems before Thanos.

And so the heroes go through various places on Earth and the galaxy to find the gems, facing many villains. =D

If they fix the camera, update the graphics and make the dialogue good, this could have some serious potential.
Honestly, though, I'd prefer it if you had to use the heroes one-on-one against the bosses or 2 against the boss with the ability to switch between your 4 team mates

@MrHulkSmashin

Yeah, I could see that. It was kinda weird in MUA when you all your heroes go beat ONE boss. xD Such unfairness against the boss.

I liked the first game. The amount of voice talent was also decent too. Who would you have voice Thanos?

@FlixMentallo21

I could see (hear?) Crispin Freeman voicing Thanos. He has previously voiced Loki (Marvel Heroes), Winter Soldier (MUA) and Iron Man (MUA2). Judging by those works, I would not pick him, but knowing he also voice Alucard (Hellsing) and Kirei Kotomine (Fate/Zero) makes me think he would make a perfect Thanos.

@MrSidTheSloth
That is a very good title!

I think someone like Michael T. Weiss would be a good Thanos--he's got the right tone for the character, and he's got experience with comic characters too, having played Etrigan the Demon (in Justice League/Unlimited), Adam Strange (Batman: The Brave and the Bold), Captain Atom (Young Justice), and Dormammu (Ultimate/Marvel vs. Capcom 3).
