THINGS I LIKED: IT WAS NEW, MAMOA WAS A PRETTY GOOD SWORDSMAN AND THERE WAS BLOOD VIOLENCE BARBARIAN WARRIOR STUFF..

JUST WISHED: ONE I LOVE THE OLD SCORE, YOU GIVE ME THAT, MAYBE TWEEK IT JUST A BIT AND I WILL BE IN THAT OLDSCHOOL CONAN MODE, I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO SEE HIM MORE RIPPED, AS BIG AS HE WAS, FOR SOME REASON I WANTED TO SEE EVEN MORE MUSCLE, I WANTED TO SEE EVEN MORE BARBARIAN STUFF..SOMETHING FROM THE OLDSCHOOL ONE STUCK TO ME MORE THAN THE NEW ONE,FROM BOY TO MAN THE STORY WAS NEW BUT MAN THE OLD ARNOLD ONE YOU REALLY SAW HIM PUT THROUGH THE CRAP,

THEM MAKING HIM WORK THE PUSHING POST THING UNTIL HE GOT HUGE, THAT WAS SOME INHUMANE STUFF,THE WAS A CERTAIN "AWW THAT SUCKS " THING THAT THE OLD ONE HAD AND THE JOURNEY TO BECOMING WHO HE BECAME WAS COOL.. I LIKED IT BUT THERE WAS THAT CERTAIN SOMETHING THAT WAS MISSING, MAYBE IT NEEDED MORE MONSTERS OR SORCERY, MAYBE IT WAS THE CHANGE OF THAT ICONIC SWORD HE HAD OR EVEN JUST THE COMEDY IN-BETWEEN THE ACTION AND BRUTALITY..IT WAS OK.

The script is a total mess, horrible! Maybe the writers explain this - Dylan Dog, Sahara, Sound of Thunder, Halloween Ressurection are some of the worst movies ever!

Best movie of the year, critics don't like it because it had some excitement not the usual snooze fest that get all the good ratings

The movie was good for a Barbarian movie. What I miss was for me to say "That's Conan!!" Conan always prays "Crom" his God. Conan put fear in men eyes. Conan didn't do anything crazy or mad as a man in the movie. What I am talking about is when they show him as a little boy with the heads in his hands. Now I can say that's Conan.

Has anyone here actually read Robert E Howard's original stories from the 1930's? It seems not.

Anyone who has is still waiting for someone to make a decent Conan movie, and doubting that they'd ever find an actor to convincingly fill the role.

Momoa could have been a great compromise if the people making the film had a creative thought between the lot of them, and trusted the original source material (I'm talking about the nearly 80-year-old stories again here, not the 30-year-old bodybuilder movie).

The revenge story that both movies revolve around has nothing to do with Howard's Conan. His village was never slaughtered, and he left basically out of restlessness and boredom, not "vengeance 101"). Conan is a "self-made man", not a tragic orphan boy. A brutal, feral killer in battle, not a fancy sword-dancer.

Conan was a good movie. There wasnt anything cheesy about it, especially when compared to Arnolds versions. Im not knocking the old ones, i liked them to. AGENTJAY1130 must not have seen the movie or is on the band wagon with the rest of the people who are NEVER happy with cbms and feel the need to bash the shit out of them multiple times on every article they find about it. The blood and fighting in the movie were as realistic as it could be for a fantasy story. No stupid ass slow motion crap or wire stunts. It didnt have any of the gay ass comedy/action crap that Pirates of the Carribean have ran into the ground. It was a good old fashion action movie. Not the best movie ever, but WAY better than the Arnie Conans.
