New Conan Pics Reveal Previously Unseen Characters & Locations

Its a bit hard to make out some of the character shots. Bur apparently that first pic is Rose McGowan as Marique. And then again the sixth down as she appears in front of Stephen Lang's Khalar Zym. Then the last pic to the left is Rachel Nichols as Tamara.

After his father is murdered and village destroyed, Conan ventures into an unforgiving world where he survives as a thief, pirate, and warrior. On his path of wanton adventure and women, Conan chances upon the warlord responsible his tribe's destruction. As he tracks Khalar Zym, Conan battles monsters, Zym's henchmen, and Marique, a powerful witch. Based on the character created by Robert E. Howard, CONAN stars Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman and Rose McGowan, and is directed by Marcus Nispel.

As far as the asthetic this film seems to be going for, all I can say is that it looks good but the overall quality of the movie is something I worry about. A lot since Lionsgate is proven to be run by morons. lol

I know most people have written this film off. For the life of me, I can't see why. Everything I've seen has looked great and I'm stoked about seeing this.

Well I admit after seeing Momoa as Conan --that is without the dreadlocks-- my opinion about this pic is changing and especially now with recent production pics. It now boils down actually to his acting, story, and direction. And if this movie can come up with a soundtrack at par with the original (by Basil Poledouris) then I'm totally sold. One trivial wish is at least to have an Arnie cameo-- but then again that could be too distracting.

I just wish they were telling the truth about it being truer to REH's original Conan mythos. Judging from the first draft and the fact that they still have that backstory of his clan being killed that likely is NOT true.

I think this looks much more authentic and Conan-like than the prior films as to the settings and production shots.

anil@ They have already have had photos of women showing boobies, so I don't think that will be issue. ;-)

Sweet@ It is supposed to be based off of Howard's books. The sequel is supposed to follow one book specifically, which is great news if you ask me.

loganell@ Sure, post one of the worst pictures of Rose that you can find. I can do the same with Christina ;-)

Guys - there's a BIG difference between pictures of a person who's just running around town in comfy clothes and no makeup (Hendricks), and a person who's attending an even (which 'McGaggin' was doing at the time the photo was taken!). Rose deliberately MEANT to go out looking like that! In addition, Hendricks is a better actor (just watch 'Mad Men' and tell me I'm worng!). I say again...

That clearly is a bad picture just look a this one taken from the same event. I can't comment on Hendricks acting but I believe Rose McGowan is very underrated she has gotten great reviews for her films like The Doom Generation, Scream, Going all the Way, Lewis & Clark & George, Jawbreaker, GrindHouse. Im not saying she does a fantastic preformance everytime because I have seen her do some less then convincing preformances like on Charmed and Elvis the Early Years but when she is given a good intresting character she really pulls it of pretty good.

Problem with Red Sonja is that she's a "physical" character alot more than she is a "theatrical" one. Meaning that all the acting skills in the world will not make Rose McGaggin look the part. Hell, she's living proof that surgery can't even make her look the part!!! My personal choice for Red Sonja is Rachel Nichols but since she's not playing her, Hendricks is a definite top choice and perfect example of what we need for Sonja! Christ she already looks hotter on her worst casual day off than McGaggin at live events! Preach to the masses, loganoneil!!!

lol, I love the "ugly" celeb pics. You guys are worse than a gossip rag! ANYONE can look bad as those unbelievably revolting pics of Hendricks(which are ten times worse than McGownan's boys..but each to his own!) prove. Personally I don't find her to be too bad an actress and think she might surprise a few people in this playing a villain.

I'm sooo excited to see Rose McGowan in this! - I don't think she's entirely perfect for Red Sonja, but she's playing a bad-ass Witch in here ... she's perfect for that part. Rose looks FIERCE.

I really hope this movie ends up being as good as it is looking, I love the Conan mythology. Heres to hoping they make a movie after the Red Nails storyline.
