Ever since the release of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, many fans have been searching for a hidden easter egg that director James Gunn still says no one has found. The director has said he will eventually reveal the hidden easter egg “someday”, but for now he is staying quiet.

Yesterday, a fan on Twitter asked Gunn if there was a similarly hidden easter egg in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. He responded with a single word, “Yes”. This means there are now two still undiscovered easter eggs for Guardians fans to search for.

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 announced to hit theaters in 2020 there is still plenty of time for fans to discover the first two hidden easter eggs before a third one is likely added to the list.

Now he's doing it for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2

It's not fun to look for Easter Eggs when the director is basically telling you that you are not finding the right one and that there will be something major out there at some point.

@JustUsLeague - Would seem a logical one to have, either Galactus or Surfer. which would explain why it's hush hush until the Fox deal is final.

I tweeted Gunn right after watching it as I was convinced I'd found it. I don't think it is a Marvel Easter Egg, more one relating to the real world nerd culture.

he will probably finally tell us in a special feature on the GOTG 3 Blu-ray...hes not giving anything away until hes totally done with the Guardians...and then it will probably very underwhelming haha
