When at Last year's SDCC it was Announced that Marvel's Guardians Of the Galaxy will be the Mystery movie of Phase 2 of Marvel Cinematic Universe instead fanboys were expecting Black Panther and Said that GOTG wont work due to very low fan base and weird characters like Groot and Rocket Raccoon, But i can give a few points which will change the Minds of why this movie will be a treat to watch. this arent tips for making this better movie but are reasons based on information till now.
1)DIRECTOR: JAMES GUNN James Gunn was chosen for his “sensibility and his ability to mix comedy elements with action and horror.” And his credits include 'Dawn of the Dead', 'Slither', and most recently 'Super'.
Joss Whedon about James Gunn: He is so off the wall, and so crazy, but so smart, such a craftsman and he builds from his heart. He loves the raccoon. Needs the raccoon.
Joss Whedon is quite confident about him that he is the right candid to helm this project and we have seen the work of Joss Whedon so i have no complaints when he suggests something or someone.
2) KEVIN FEIGE Kevin Feige is Mastermind of The Marvel Cinematic Universe and till now every decision he has take has been supported by fans and has worked very well so far for the Marvel Studios. he is been great in the sense that he managed each and every movie of Phase-I very well and has been rewarded for his work. so i think he will do a great job with Guardians of the Galaxy.
3)THANOS It has been confirmed that the GOTG will Face the 'the Mad Titan' in their First adventure. After the mid-credits scene of The Avengers Thanos was shown and then the news came that Thanos will be the main villain in GOTG. i think they are going with 'The Thanos Imperative' storyline in whicg GOTG face him. Thanos is very popular and also been confirmed for Avengers 2 so everyone will be excited to see WHY and HOW he will be Earth to Face Avengers.
4)GROOT & ROCKET RACCOON While some people thinks that Groot and Rocket Raccoon will be hard to potray and can make the movie look bad but i think they will look good. for example 'ENT' from LOTR for GROOT and i can think of many movies like Dr Dolittle, Stuart Little, Garfield, Rise of the planet of the Apes etc. these can be taken into account for Rocket Raccoon with a great Script.
5)Rumored Cameo of TONY STARK/IRON MAN I am not sure about this rumor but Tony stark can be seen for a few scenes especially a mid/end credits scene. As Thanos will be the main villain both in GOTG and AVENGERS 2, Iron Man is already a Guardian in new comics and it may be a way to give a boost to not so popular GOTG. I hope he does have a Cameo and makes us Fans surprised.
So these are the Few Reasons i think GOTG will be a Great Spectacle
