GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2 Scores Higher Than Any Other Movie In Marvel's History At A Test Screening
If you were already excited for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 then this might just tip you over the edge, as James Gunn's sequel apparently scored a perfect 100 at a recent test screening...
According to THR, James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has tested higher than any Marvel Studios movie in the company’s nine-year history, scoring an unprecedented 100 at a recent screening. Up until this point, the studio's top scorers were Iron Man 3 and Avengers, which both tested in the high 90s.
Though this is obviously great to hear, it is worth noting that Marvel's test screening process is not as random as other studios, as they usually don't recruit from average members of the public, instead conducting what are known as “friends and families screenings.” Apparently there's still a vigorous test procedure in place, but because of this, it's not really fair to compare GOTG Vol. 2's perfect test score to other non-Marvel films.
Regardless, my excitement levels just shot up a few notches... what about you guys? Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 blasts into theaters on May 5.
