The latest from
Schmoes Know has Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone playing Elders in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. When it was
(pretty much) confirmed that Stallone would have a role in the film, many predicted he would be Star-Lord's father but that honor has been bestowed upon Kurt Russell's Ego the Living Planet. Back in May, Stone confirmed that she had a
role in an upcoming Marvel film and would later confirm that
her character had heat powers. So just who exactly could Stallone and Stone be playing?
Despite Beneico del Toro already playing The Collector and Jeff Goldblum cast as The Grandmaster, we still have a number of Elders yet to reveal their presence in the MCU. There's The Contemplator, Possessor, The Gardner, Champion, Trader, Caregiver, Runner, The Obliterator and a host of others.
The Schmoes Know report that
Elizabeth Debicki's Her aka Ayesha will also be given a new MCU backstory, making her into yet another Elder of the Universe. The site adds that there will be a total of 4 Elders appearing in Vol. 2.
We also have to bring up
the recent slip from Sigourney Weaver which seemingly indicated that she also has a role in a Marvel film. Could she be playing yet another Elder?
While James Gunn will surely debunk this rumor in the next hour or so, we'll find out for certain when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
