GOTG VOL. 3 Deleted Scene Reveals The High Evolutionary's Fate As Kraglin Recruits Adam Warlock

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to release on Digital platforms tomorrow, and this new deleted scene (via IGN) reveals what became of the evil High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji) after he was defeated by Rocket and the gang towards the end of the movie.

The unfinished (Rocket is looking a bit rough) sequence finds the megalomaniacal villain being imprisoned back on Knowhere, as he attempts to fix the skin mask that was torn off during his fight against the Guardians.

We then see Kraglin (Sean Gunn) recruiting Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) for the new team, while letting him know that "Adam on its own" really isn't going to cut it as a superhero name.

Wonder what he'll choose?

Check out the new scene below, and let us know if you plan on picking up Vol. 3 when it hits Blu-ray later this year.

"In Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past." "Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them."

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova. Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now in theaters.

This movie was so good. TSS, Peacemaker and GOTG3 are pretty much my favorite cape shit content of the last few years. Cant wait to see what the GOAT gonna deliver with Sups.

@Spawnnn - James Gunn has yet to make a bad comic book movie (you could technically include Super)

@Spawnnn - As long as he keeps eye heart and relationships while cutting down on the juvenile humor we should be in for a treat!

@TheHumanSpider2 - Super doesn't get talked about enough. I have never laughed as hard as I did in the "don't do crime" montage. I'd love for Rainn Wilson to show up in more of Gunn's work at some point. AND AS I TYPED THAT, HOLY S#IT, I REALIZED THAT KEVIN BACON WAS ONE OF THE MAIN CAST OF SUPER.

@Spawnnn - thats because they are unequivocally the best cape content of the last few years. Gunn does characterization better than everyone else in the [frick]ing game. it is known...

bring on Superman Legacy.

@TheWinkler - Fun fact; James originally wanted Van Damme to play that character, but Bacon's audition was so good, that he gave him the role.

@TheHumanSpider2 - GOTG 2, while not bad, was certainly underwhelming coming off such an unexpectedly successful debut. Strongest scene definitely when Nebula unloads the emotional catharsis on Gamora after their scrap. Runner-up to that would be the Mantis convulsion after discreetly sneaking a peak into Drax’s mund

@SauronthePower - The problem with Guardians 2 was just how long and boring the second act was, but the third one makes up for it.
Still the weakest entry in the trilogy, though.

@TheHumanSpider2 - I absolutely cannot picture Van Damme as that character. Gunn definitely made the right call!

Wonder how Adam came up with warlock. Maybe it's something like with Peter quill in the guardians game where there's a band on earth he names himself after.

@Origame - didn’t his “mother” say he was supposed to be the Warlock or something at the beginning of the film?

@Origame - well, if we are following the metal route that Kraglin suggests, Warlock is the name of a famous German metal band.

@datfigures - it was either her or the high evolutionary that said the name Warlock, I forget which one. Was in the scene where the HE slams Warlock against the wall after saying there is something wrong with him when he failed to recover Rocket.

@HeavyMetal4Life - while I am a FAR bigger Maiden fan than King Crimson, I have to admit that the pre-game betting likelihood of Robert Fripp getting a name drop was/is basically statistically ‘Nil,’ yet here we are 🤷‍♂️
