GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3: Hot Toys Finally Reveals Awesome Star-Lord Figure (With Peter Quill's Zune)

Hot Toys has unveiled its Star-Lord figure, and yes, it has an updated head sculpt! The highly-detailed 1/6th scale Peter Quill also comes bundled with a Zune, though is otherwise lacking on accessories...

Earlier this month, Hot Toys announced plans to release a whole wave of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Hot Toys figures.

Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, Mantis, Drax, and Nebula are all on the way, though the sneak peek at Peter Quill came under fire for seemingly reusing the same head sculpt from 2018's Avengers: Infinity War. The character's appearance has changed a lot in the half-decade (has it really been that long?) since the movie was released, but we can now see the updated version!

The likeness here is awesome and definitely indicative of how Chris Pratt looks in the threequel.

Star-Lord's costume also looks great, but in terms of accessories, there isn't much. Star-Lord's Element Guns are included, as is his Zune, but that's pretty much it. Many fans will be disappointed about the hero's helmet being M.I.A., but it wasn't in Vol. 3, so we can't fault Hot Toys for its exclusion.

Will you be picking up this Star-Lord figure when it eventually goes on sale?

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.

Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently playing in theaters.

If he wore his helmet with this outfit, it would be one of the best costumes I'd ever seen.

I don't think Quill did much smirking in this movie...

His mask is a must. Having him conveniently "forget" about it just for the sake of making Adam necessary in the finale felt forced.

@DrReedRichards - i mean he didn't really forget it. He left it in a hurry and wasn't planning on getting roped up in all of the extra stuff. I can totally buy that given the reason for leaving.
