I completely enjoyed the "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" book. Its tongue in cheek mood, yet detailed oriented style of writing, made me do something I thought I'd never do: Read a version of a Jane Austen book, "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies". Well, it DID have zombies in the title, and being a comic/horror geek/nerd, I knew it was only a matter of time.

I ended up loving that too. So, when a friend told me to read the very tongue in cheek slant of..if you were somehow destined to be in a horror movie yourself.. you would NEED a book to help you survive. He told me that same author wrote this one too, and I'd love it.

Opening it, It starts with a Forward by Wes Craven himself. I knew I was in the right place for fun. The intro then tells me to stay close IF I want to survive the film I MUST be in, since I now have this book, and learn rules (Like from Scream) to survive them.

It tackles everything from the Slashers (Micheal/Jason/Freddy/etc..) to demons to vampires and werewolves to witches and even zombies, aliens and killer dolls.

I enjoyed a book written by an author that obviously not only knows his movies and the genre, but simply LOVES them all, like a true fan. It felt like reading a book one of my own geek friends put together...but..[coughs] better. I simply loved it. Peace.
