Incredible Hulk’s Roth doing it for the Kids

The Incredible Hulk has got a lot to prove, after the lackluster performance of its predecessor, The Hulk. However, with Edward Norton behind the big mean green machine, and Tim Roth portraying his nemesis Abomination, there are high hopes.

"We've done some very cool things," said Tim Roth in a recent interview. "I think it's going to be fun. I'm in my own world with this one so there's a lot of it I don't see what's going on. All I know is, as far as I'm concerned, this is some fun stuff going on."

And, privy to the effects that we’ll be seeing to make the transformations, Roth is keeping tight lipped. However, Robbie Williams style, he is doing it for the kids.

"I'm still filming it. This is one for my boys. Pure, on set, all I'm asking is, 'Okay, this has got to be a cool shot for my kids, all right? Am I going to look cool in this shot?' It's truly about that for me, completely about that."

"I'm treated with great suspicion. 'So, is it going to be cool, dad?'”
he said of his children’s reactions to his current role. “And you don't know because they're the worst critics of the lot. I could be ridiculed when I walk into school when I drop them off. You never know."

Roth will be portraying Emil Blonsky who, with a name like that, can be nothing other than a KGB agent. Affected by nuclear radiation, Blonsky will transform in to a Hulk-like shape, but without the ability to change back that Banner has. The movie also stars Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and William Hurt as General "Thunderbolt" Ross.
