"Maybe for the third one, if they do a third one," Paltrow told MTV News about the chances of Pepper Potts seeing more action. "They'd have to mix it up a little, you know what I mean? I don't want to just keep sitting there with a head piece."

"We haven't really talked about that yet," Paltrow said about when asked where she'd like to take her character in the next movie. "If a third part became real, I would probably start to talk about it more."

However, she's not quite so sure that she'll be back for 2012's The Avengers: "I don't know what she would do," she laughed. "Like, dry-clean Tony's s--t?"

Iron Man 2 is out now in the UK and will be released in the US on May 7th!

No to her character in AVENGERS (just like WAR MACHINE, not needed).

But cool for her in IRON MAN 3!

(Hopefully "ARMOR WARS" (with THE VAULT).

Thanks LEE and I completely agree! For me, she was one of the weakest (and most annoying!) parts of Iron Man 2 so I'd be more than happy to see her nowhere near The Avengers! As for Iron Man 3? Kill her off. :P

There a plenty of ppl that need to be in the singular title movies that don't need to be in Avengers. Pepper is one of them.

I thought she played Pepper well In IM2, but her character was only there to be an object of Tony's affection. I mean did anyone really give a flying [frick] that she was having trouble running the business? Anyone?

I don’t see marvel killing any body off. If they want to continue Iron man when RDJ and such are done and don’t wait to reboot every time that happens then i don't see them killing her off or any body that would play a continuing role in iron man or an marvel movie.

Actually it makes sense for her to appear in the Avengers, even if it is a small role. Same with Liv Tyler, if Bruce gets captured at one point I think Betty is needed along with her dad ;)

@Igirl: I don't get all of the hate either. I could definitely seeing a cameo with her sending Tony off to battle. She's definitely not a idiot bimbo in her films and I like that. Also, she doesn't really seem to be campaigning to be in the Avengers anyway.

josh@ it has the word die but not in the way you want it :) 24 has been alright. theres alot of wierd character changes that dont make sense (im talking about you president taylor!!!!). but its good to have logan back and jack is as pissed off as hes ever been so im hoping for a big finale.

superdog: Yeah, I have a feeling that things would have been a lot different had this not been the show's final season! A lot of characters have been changed just to set up these final episodes but its pretty damn good to see a veangeful Jack Bauer far more similar to the one from earlier seasons! I'm just hoping for a Bauer vs. Logan finale! :)

tea: Damn, we really must have been watching different movies, lol! :P I just found the half scripted/half improvised scenes between RDJ irritating! (during the scene with the strawberries, I was just hoping that she's lean far back enough in that chair to fall out of the window!) Cant say you're wrong about Scarjo though...she was good as Balck Widow but wasnt really given enough to do!

i was thinking about this the other day if her character liv tyler's character and natalie portman's character will have any part in the avengers i can see pepper in the movie cause of tony and in t.i.h tony talks to general ross about startin a team why would he go to the general??? maybe to use betty to get hulk on the team!!!! i dont know i thinlk it would b cool if they had comeos at least

There is a scene in Ironman 2 when Tony and Pepper are talking in the basement and you can clearly see a female variant prototype armor on display on the computer.

Lets see, wasnt the reason the first Iron Man was so successful because it was clever, witty and had really good actors in it. I did like IM2 a lot but Johansson didnt do anything for me, bad acting, no personality. I say bring Pepper in, flesh out her role and let her class up the joint in the female character department. I would love to see her get a suit!
