Rumors about the Warner Bros. super-franchise, Justice League of America (JLA), abound, with new names being added to the list of possible cast members on an almost daily basis.

We’ve all heard the musings about Tyrese Gibson possibly playing Green Lantern and Ryan Reynolds lobbying hard for the Flash role, and there was a collective gasp heard around comic fandom when it was revealed that Director George Miller (Happy Feet) was seeing teeny-bopper actors like Adam Brody (The OC), Michael Angarano (Sky High), and Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights).

Today, two new names were added to the JLA rumor mill; Bijou Phillips (Hostel: Part 2) and Josh Duhamel (Transformers).

Robert Sanchez of IESB was reportedly tipped off that Phillips and Duhamel were called in to test for roles in what Warner Bros. hopes will become a “tentpole” franchise, capable of supporting sequels and spin-off films.

According to Sanchez, Phillips’ reps at Untitled PR confirmed that Bijou had tested for the film, though it was not made clear what part(s) she tested for. Duhamel’s reps at the Gersch Agency had not commented on whether or not Duhamel had actually tested for the film.

Justice League of America is tentatively slated for a 2010 release date.
