The DCCU of My Imagination: The Justice League
Members are those who I have previously introduced in previous stories and now I’m finally here; the Justice League.

None of my choices are particularly original but I didn’t set out thinking ‘who would be original?’ instead I asked myself ‘who would be best in these roles? Who do I want to see?’

Superman/Clark Kent – Henry Cavill

Costume: I am one of the few people who thought the Man of Steel costume was good. Muted colours are necessary with the darker themes, this is an updated Superman and his costume reflects that. If you want bright colours then go back to the 70s.

Batman/Bruce Wayne – Ben Affleck

Costume: As a Batsuit has yet to be revealed I will have to choose something myself. I would rather have multiple Batsuits as it shows that Batman is prepared and adapts to situations.

Regular Batsuit: Just make it look like the New 52 suit and I will be happy as long as he has white eye lenses and not eye makeup.

Kryptonian Armour: This is from my Batman vs Superman story, it is General Zod’s MoS suit but with a bat emblem, a cowl, a cape and painted black.

Helmet: There will be psychics in this movie so he will build a helmet to protect himself from them.

Wonder Woman/Diana Prince – Gal Gadot

I want her to look like a believable Amazonian Warrior. This means she should not be running around in the swim suit usually seen in the comics. At the same time we don’t want her wearing long trousers (translation for Americans: pants) and a jacket because again there is no way a way an ancient warrior would wear that. Give her some armour for her torso; forearm and shin guards; as well as a protective skirt with sandals. In my opinion she should also carry a sword and shield made in Thermyscira.

Green Lantern/Hal Jordan – Chris Pine

Definitely not the Ryan Reynolds suit and I would rather not have CGI as it will look fake and drain the films budget whilst he stands around. Hal should have control over how his suit looks, making it more armour like without being bulky and definitely darker than the Movie. Also his mask shouldn’t be what hides his identity but instead the aura around it that does.

Martian Manhunter/J’onn J’onzz- Colin Salmon or Peter Mensah (apologies for the indecisiveness)

I don’t want him to be CGI for the same reasons as above, just paint him green and ad some prosthetics with possibly some slight CGI enhancement. A fully clothed Martian Manhunter would be best with full bodysuit and cape. It should not be as skin tight as other hero costumes but still look alien with all the traditional features from the comics.

Aquaman/Arthur Curry – Liam McIntyre

This will be an already established Aquaman he is Orin the king of Atlantis. Aquaman has a lot to overcome to be taking seriously by your general movie goer and I believe casting McIntyre would be a step in the right direction. His character needs to say ‘I’m king of Atlantis; I can summon sharks; I have a trident and a cool suit of armour; and I will kill if it’s necessary!’

Costume: Should look like armour but a fusion between sci-fi and traditional as well as including a marine motif. The colouring shouldn’t differ too much from the comics with a mostly gold but orange tinted upper half and a black tinted green lower. This is a tough one.

Lex Luthor – Jesse Eisenburg

This is simple just shave his head and put him in a suit. Get Eisenburg to bulk up a little and also maybe give him a small scar on the side if his head.

Brainiac – Benedict Cumberbatch

Again some bulking up is needed. In terms of costume, like Martian Manhunter he should be painted green and have his head shaven as well as wearing a full body suit. He doesn’t need and he doesn’t need any prosthetics, just the diodes on his head that can be plugged into things. A tech armour suit would look good with some glowing bits on it.

Protex – Mark Strong

He doesn’t need Protex’ hair; that would look silly. He needs to have the incredible suit of gold shining armour which I think should be a classic/tech hybrid, a blend between Iron Man and a knight’s armour.

Other White Martians – It doesn’t really matter who plays them, they will
be CGI

They just need their normal look in the comics it will translate perfectly on to the big screen. Most of this movie they will be disguised as other people such as other people.

In terms of telling the story I will be using a method that is often shown in DC comics and that is a crossover story. This film will not be one film but 2, first the Justice League and then Aquaman. I want to see this because it will boost Aquaman’s profile and his box office; also it allows a fuller story to be told with proper character development which is hard with multiple main characters. Not only these reasons but it is also something that is different to what Marvel is doing which is important as well as taking on the style of the comics which is nice.

In my opinion it would be best not to have the movie about the team being formed by a character finding the others and asking them to join, this would be tedious. We do not need 30mins of Superheroes convincing the reluctant ones to join or even a montage of that. I’m going to pick up roughly from where I left off in my Wonder Woman story: with satellites falling from the sky. A little later Green Lantern will show up at the Fortress of Solitude which has become the Justice Leagues temporary base. The white Martians will mean that we don’t know who is who meaning that some vs battles between the heroes take place especially when Aquaman surfaces. The Martians will also spur Martian Manhunter to get involved meaning that by the end of the movie we will have a team of 6 (the Flash will not appear at this point as I want to see how the tv show pans out before deciding whether to include him.)

I will try not to pick all by actors from Star Trek into Darkness and Spartacus as in my DCCU I now have: Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Liam McIntyre, Peter Mensah, Lucy Lawless and Manu Bennett.

@MasterChief haha I do try
@DEVLIN712 I agree he was really good but when you allow one Smalliville actor on-board you then think "Rosenbaum is good, so's John Glover..." and before you know it BAM Smallville the Movie. Actually that would be awesome.

@Gusto I wanted him for Lex Luthor, he would make a really creepy and suspicious Hal Jordan. Everyone would be like 'So is he good or bad?'. He definitely should be in the universe at some point.

@Gusto he's a bit too old for Hal but I actually like Eisenburg. I have a habit of liking things other people don't, apart from Ryan Reynolds he was shit. Are you sure that it wasn't someone like Jacky behind you, it sounds like something he would do.

@JorEllinator
I loved the show too, it's what first introduced me to Superman and the one I grew up with. I doubt we'll get something like it again.

Your imagination includes every actor that's already been cast in the role? So you've always thought Gal Gadot would be a good WW?

@RedHood if you had read my wonder woman story that would be explained, this is me building on what already exists
@GliderMan everyone knows he needs to be played by a black guy as that is the human form that he takes. For the aura I mean it should allow other characters to see his face but they cannot identify him or remember what he looks like.
@MrBlackJack I disagree as he needs to be younger and more arrogant

@magnus

it couldnt have anything to do with the fact that black men tend to have deeper voices than white men and that most people think of MM having a deep voice could it?

nah, gotta be racism. [frick]ing idiot.

@Magnus
I have often seen MM be black when he takes his human form so this is how I perceive him. Regardless, having him in the team creates diversity as John Stewart and Cyborg are still to come. Maybe next time think before posting a stupid comment.

@Gliderman
I decided to recast the Green Lantern cast with Robert Carlye as Sinestro. I think that Mark Strong would have a chance to shine in the role I have given him.
