Big Daddy's Return Teased In New Set Photo From KICK-ASS 2

Kick-Ass 2 has now moved to the UK to finish off filming, and writer and director Jeff Wadlow has continued to keep fans up to date with the production via his official Twitter account (@JeffWadlow). The latest photo from the set features a case containing the suit of Hit-Girl's father, Big Daddy. It's reminiscent of the way in which Jason Todd's (a.k.a. Robin) costume has been depicted on display in the Batman comic books after his death, perhaps indicating that this is Hit-Girl's base. Of course, we do know that Nic Cage will reprise the role through flashbacks. Meanwhile, you'll also see below that 'Colonel Stars' himself, Jim Carrey, has revealed that he has now arrived in the UK for shooting.

Day 23... Nobody puts Daddy in the corner. #kickass2 @ChloeGMoretz

Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kick-Ass

I liked his "Batman". One of his best roles, and that's a lot. He's a genuine A+ actor, best of his generation. :)

If Cage is in this, I will skip it completely, he ruined the first movie.

It's the same design, but seems less bulky than the one in the first movie. Maybe it just looks different when someone is actually wearing it.

and Batman is a whiney billionaire who can't get over the death of his parents and use his money to fund his crusade. Not that different...

Nic Cage I liked in the first movie, one of the only things I enjoyed about it. Sucks the kind of arc they gave him.

@JonathaNisMagnuM - love the Dumb and Dumber Reference.

I wonder if Kick-Ass will ever grow up and drop the scuba suit for a real costume - maybe even a variation of the Big Daddy costume? Maybe not, but I'd like to see him in something a bit more realistic sooner rather than later.

Was actually a nice day here in Scotland and yesterday, I know everyones probably thinking it but when i first saw KickAss as it differs from the comics in quite a big way (Sorry if you havent read it yet) But when i saw the movie and the way Big Daddy died compared to the comic i just thought well..... He could have survived that.

I mean there are Burns victims that survive greater burns than what he did, Yes he seemed to die when he closed his eyes and Hit-Girl threw his cape over his 'Corpse' without asking him "Are you dead now?" (You know it'd be the first thing to come to your head)...... All im saying is maybe he's not dead maybe he's just seriously burned and will make a come back in this movie being as it is so different from the comic.

Did anyone else realize that Nicholas Cage was channeling Adam West during his portrayal of Big Daddy?

It's just a trophy display, similar to how Batman displays Robin's costume as a reminder of Jason Todd's death.
