Talking to Collider at the New York Comic Con this past weekend, Chloë Grace Moretz has shared a few more details on her role in Jeff Wadlow's Kick-Ass 2; a film based on the comic book by the same name (and the Hit-Girl miniseries) by writer Mark Millar and artist John Romita Jr. While she's clearly being careful not to reveal TOO much, the young actress does drop a few hints about where we'll find Mindy McCready in the highly anticipated follow-up to Matthew Vaughn's 2010 film. A transcription of the interview can be found below, but the video is well worth watching for Moretz's comments on Carrie, and her reaction to being asked about whether or not the rumours that Nic Cage will be back as 'Big Daddy' are true.
On What It's Been Like To Work On Kick-Ass 2 So Far: It's amazing. You know, it's interesting because I'm filming it with Jeff Wadlow, who's the director on this. Not Matthew [Vaughn], he's producing it.
On How An Older Mindy McCready Now Approaches 'Hit-Girl': In the first film, you saw more Hit-Girl, but in this one you're going to see [Mindy] realise, 'God, what was I doing? What am I doing? Who am I? Am I Hit-Girl? Am I Mindy? What is my mask? Is my mask Mindy or is my mask Hit-Girl? Am I supposed to be this normal girl who goes to school and has this great life, or am I supposed to kill people and be a vigilante and be someone who fights crime?' And that's what you're going to see, this tug of war between the two minds of her. Between Hit-Girl and Mindy McCready.
On What We Should Expect To See From The Character In This Instalment: And then, on the Hit-Girl aspect, you're going to see a lot of cool stuff. You know, the outfit is much cooler, the hair is cool - purple obviously. You've seen [the set photos]. It's pretty cool - it's rad. There's a lot of [superheroes]. For me, it's really cool.
