In a recent interview Digital Spy, both Jeff Wadlow and Christopher Mintz-Plasse have talked more about why certain scenes from the Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. series had to be cut from the big screen adaptation. These include The Mother F*cker and his gang raping Kick-Ass' girlfriend and beheading Colonel Stars & Stripes' dog. The video also features Millar sharing his thoughts on the box office success of the first instalment in the Kick-Ass franchise and its possible future.

Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010’s irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2. After Kick-Ass’ (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.

STARRING:

Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kick-Ass
Chloë Grace Moretz as Hit-Girl
Christopher Mintz-Plasse as The Mother F*cker
Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars
Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity
Lindy Booth as Night Bitch

Yes Coulson, but you don't see it. I was shocked that he was killed off. And the "rape" is still there, just not shown.

The movie was cool, but the 1st one had a better vibe to me. It felt better. But if you saw the 1st, go see this one. It had a lot of ppl cracking up in the theater.

Sad, than there will be no DogHeaded scene, like in "Game of Thrones" wolf-king, and rape scene could be good - Kick-ass's girlfriend was so hot, i'd like to see her nude scenes)))

But... do they left child-killing scene?! wtf?! Kill the dog, don't kill children!

Millar is in a very interesting position indeed. The fu.cker must be pinching himself hourly. Its fully deserved because Kick Ass 1 is easily one of the finest CBMS ever made.

MotherF*cker says "no" to beheading the dog in the movie (suggested by Mother Russia). Said that he wasn't that evil and to behead Colonel Stars & Stripes instead.

I don't care that much about dog beheadings but I am however glad the rape scene isn't there because rape scenes on film bother me. To the mofo who wants the rape scene just so he can see the girlfriend naked you my friend.....should probably get that looked at.

So, it's been a couple years, and I wanted to refresh my memory on the original Kick-Ass movie. Not on Netflix, not on Hulu, nowhere to be found. Does no one at the film studio think that it would be wise to at least temporarily license the original movie to a streaming network leading up to the week of its release? They should hire me as a marketer.

Chris D'Amico is supposed to be a much more sympathetic character than he was in the comics. So I see no reason why he'd go out of his way to cut off a dogs head and rape a girl when all Kick-Ass did was kill his father. I expect to see people get killed, yes, but more in the style of the first film where people were stabbed and had their limbs cut off but no one was beheaded or raped.

GrayFox1025 - 8/13/2013, 7:04 AM
I can understand the omission of the rape scene and the child killings for obvious reasons, but what's the big deal about killing the dog? Watchmen had no issues showing a dog with its brains bashed in and then thrown through a window.

TelaVizion, you saw the movie?
There is no this sh!tty scene that Fettastic posted 8/13/2013, 7:04 AM?

p.s. if you saw the movie, what scene is after the credits? On imdb said "There is a short scene after the credits", what it is about?
Thanks.

@Grayfox1025 Based on the reviews I have read, The Mother[frick]er is a rather sympathetic characters, which is probably what Wadlow was hoping for.

It would make Wadlow's job infinitely more difficult if The Mother[frick]er was shown killing children and animals.

and the dog scene was funny.. Also him not killing the dog makes sense towards the end, when him and kick-ass face off and how that conflict end and words that are exchanged. So don't bash the dog scene if you haven't seen it.

and yes the col stars was beheaded. for people who keep asking about that part. And even tough the movie leaves out some scenes, it makes up for the violence.

arrrgh) I will see the movie only in september, I must to know now, it's important. I Hate 2nd Comic Book because of this sh!t children killing scene. If there is no dead children in the movie - the movie could be really great and awesome to me.

I think what would've made fans sadder is if they added something in the movie that would scar some fans....like if colonal stars gets pliers too his testicles and and weiner and they just chop it off....then leave him to die like that.....maybe even then cut his head off
Dmon
Dmon - 8/13/2013, 9:43 AM
I don't want to see an actual rape scene like The Hills Have Eyes which is why I really hate and can't stand that movie. But I think it should be implied like its about to happen then they cut to another scene because it shows how evil Chris has become. I also think it is important to show the kid killing and chop off head scene for the same reason.

Damn this sucks I was looking forward to seeing Carey get his head chopped off.

@knocturnalzen10 Um you just now getting that. All kidding aside like I said earlier I think these scenes while [frick]ed up were essential to show how much more evil Chris is then his father and in general. Seems like today people don't realize what true evil is or that people are capable of it.
