New KICK-ASS 2 Graffiti Style Banner

New KICK-ASS 2 Graffiti Style Banner

This banner was snapped at Cinemacon earlier in the year, but now it's been officially released. Take a look at some cool graffiti style renderings of Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) after the jump.

Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010’s irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2. After Kick-Ass’ (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.

When we last saw junior assassin Hit Girl and young vigilante Kick-Ass, they were trying to live as normal teenagers Mindy and Dave. With graduation looming and uncertain what to do, Dave decides to start the world’s first superhero team with Mindy. Unfortunately, when Mindy is busted for sneaking out as Hit Girl, she’s forced to retire—leaving her to navigate the terrifying world of high-school mean girls on her own. With no one left to turn to, Dave joins forces with Justice Forever, run by a born-again ex-mobster named Colonel Stars and Stripes.

Just as they start to make a real difference on the streets, the world’s first super villain, The Mother F%&*^r, assembles his own evil league and puts a plan in motion to make Kick-Ass and Hit Girl pay for what they did to his dad. But there’s only one problem with his scheme: If you mess with one member of Justice Forever, you mess with them all.

Kick-Ass 2 hits theaters June 28th, 2013.

I don't feel quite as extreme about the comic..but to a certain extent I agree with imadick. The movie was MUCH better. I think Millar is a terrific writer but he gets too overboard with the violence and carnage at times, and not one of his Kick-Ass characters..including Dave himself..are even remotely likable. The movie injected a lot more heart into them and the story.

Had a quick flick through the first graphic novel when I considered buying it after watching and enjoying the first movie. I must admit, I thought it was shit, and pretty messed up.

After what I heard about the second graphic novel and some of the sick, twisted shit that went down in it, I was disgusted... I was so close to boycotting this movie, so I'm glad to hear all that stuff is being left out of the film.

There's a fine line between 'stylized violence' and 'appalling psycho-shit'... Miller managed to go miles over that line with the stuff I've heard he put in Kick Ass 2.

That's not to say I'm 100% against Mark Miller. I really liked Superman Red Son, and I'm sure his other work on already established stuff can be quite good. But I get the feeling that on his creator owned stuff, the stuff he has full control over, he probably goes way over the top when trying to push the boundaries or whatever he's trying to accomplish with that sick crap.
