Kick-Ass 2 has been filming all over Mississauga, Ontario Canada for the past 3 days including streets such as McLaughlin, Derry, Doulton and Mississauga Road. I missed the opportunity to visit the set myself, but keen spies who live in the neighbourhood may have given us our first look at Mother Russia's costume. Also spotted on the set were multiple NYPD police cars, and set reports indicated that one exploded while others say it was simply lifted into the air with the help of hydraulics.
The woman in the picture below is very muscular and bares a resemblance to Olga Kurkulina. However, the actress below is wearing a costume that looks nothing like the comic counter-part, but she seems to be sporting an eye-patch, one of the details of Mother Russia's costume in the Kick-Ass 2 comic books. Until we get some hi-res images, we won't know for sure!
In addition to this mysterious costumed vixen, we also have photos of fake NYPD police cars and houses which will be featured in the film. The set allowed plenty of people to watch the filming in progress, however signs spotted stated that photographs were restricted (but that didn't stop these spies!).
