Buy super hero illuminate if you want to pretend to be the collecter.

@GentlemenCipher - annoys me when people look at all my hot toys and be like “ohh I wish I could afford those” but then they spend just as much money on stupid Funko Pops thinking they’re actually going to be worth anything. You can afford great collectibles if you don’t waste money on standard two a penny “collectibles”
Chewtoy
Chewtoy - 2/13/2018, 12:23 PM
@GentlemenCipher - Spider-man works the best for that... While most of the others are striking dramatic poses, he looks like he's saying "So... you going to open up this box any time soon?"

Chewtoy - 2/13/2018, 12:24 PM
@Matfin93 - Meh... I "collect" Vision stuff. The market isn't flooded with product, and it ends up making for a fun and funky assortment of figures and the like... which is more fun to me than having one super-expensive statue.

@Matfin93 - What if i want to collect just for myself, not as an invesment or thinking to sell them in the future?
Matfin93
Matfin93 - 3/28/2018, 8:35 AM
@LoganMjolnir - I collect for myself without thinking what’s going to make me a profit and stuff. My collection is mainly Hot Toys, the odd statue, and Mondo posters.

I just think POP vinyls are a waste of money when people literally spend thousands on them, I think a smaller, better quality collection is much better than one filled with clutter like Pop Vinyls.

I do own one or two pops myselfs but only for certain characters, I have an Ahsoka one and Scrooge McDuck

I’m not being snobby, just my opinion.

gotta say...

even though i adored Ragnarok and think Mjolnir is the least visually interesting weapon among the heroes, Thor without it just doesn't feel right.

@HeraldNumber7 - I love the detail in Mjolnir, and the sound it makes when it's flying.

Those looks great. The only one I don't like is the Homecoming Spidey. I hate when they make the webs debossed.

JustAChillFan - 2/13/2018, 10:25 AM
Man, I can't be the only one who really wants a Plastic Man movie right? DC was saying that Lobo is their answer to Deadpool when the only thing they really have in common is their profanity. Plastic man is just as hilarious as Deadpool without the profanity and 4th wall breaking in my opinion. Not sure what kind of movie you could even make with him but I think it would be interesting to see him as a criminal who gets these powers and then tries to become a hero but no one trusts him due to his past and him trying to turn public perception about him. Could be a good family film without being cheesy, just funny.

My King and Thor Ragnarok toys look 🔥🔥

Kumkani
Kumkani - 2/13/2018, 10:37 AM
@JohnnyTBP - Thor and Black Panther is the interaction I really want to see in the MCU. Both come from technologically advanced worlds that have roots in mysticism, and both have been forced to become king due to the death of their fathers. Thor's new more comedic direction can play off nicely with T'Challa's more serious attitude. Them kicking ass and using their powers together would be a visual feast, and Thor's new abilities can remind T'Challa of a certain someone.
Kumkani
Kumkani - 2/13/2018, 10:43 AM
@JohnnyTBP - Not to mention that Thor is a fanboy for an all female elite force, and T'Challa has one. Stoic Okoye with alcoholic and nonchalant Valkyrie should be also fun to watch.

The Penguin, old-school costume/character - paired with a Rocket-Launching penguin from Batman Returns? GHASTLY! Lazy. Did they have extra Rocket-Launching penguins to get rid of?

MattIsForReal
MattIsForReal - 2/14/2018, 6:54 AM
@MalseMarcel - I'm always torn between putting these as a single list on a page that would seemingly go on forever or splitting them up with maybe a few on each page (like I did here) or if it would be better to put one image per page. I feel like putting one on a page would make people annoyed for having to click through everything.
bkmeijer2
bkmeijer2 - 2/14/2018, 10:00 AM
@Mattapherr - people'll hate you for it, but I actually prefer separate marvel and dc articles
BillyBatson1000
BillyBatson1000 - 2/14/2018, 11:55 AM
@Mattapherr - The list idea was good, unfortunately after scrolling thru a blast of great, photo-realistic Marvel figures - we then get the (appallingly bad) Penguin figure representing the nadir of DC.

Nice! This weekend is the big Toy Fair in NYC, so we'll see most of the year's coming new releases then.
