New International DRACULA UNTOLD Poster Released Online

We got a couple of new international trailers for Gary Shore's upcoming take on the origins of literature's most famous vampire the other day, and now there's a one-sheet to go with 'em.

Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, Immortals) stars in Dracula Untold, the origin story of the man who became Dracula. Gary Shore directs and Michael De Luca produces the epic action-adventure that co-stars Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Diarmaid Murtagh and Samantha Barks.


Starring Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Diarmaid Murtagh, Dominic Cooper, Charles Dance, and Samantha Barks, Dracula Untold is set to be released on October 17th, just in time for Halloween!

Vlad Treps father was called Vlad Dracul which means Dragon. That and Vlad (Dracula)was also apart of a Church Group called the Order of the Dragon.

History Brah, it is a wonderful thing.

The "a" at the end of Dracula means "son of" from what I read, which is why Vlad became known as Dracula. This movie appears to stray from the actual history of Vlad the Impaler; hard to tell from a trailer though. I'd rather it be historically accurate and then add the supernatural stuff towards the end... No sense in using a real name in history and totally make up everything else. I think viewers would enjoy it more if they connected with the real Vlad, sympathized with his predicament, and then when he transforms he's more of antihero, than some evil creature... the guy was brutal, but his intentions were good in teh beginning. Dracula was not born an evil man.

Dracula means "son of the dragon"

From the House of Drăculești, one of the two rival factions vying for control of Wallachia. The Drăculești were known to play a bit rough with Ottomans, especially Sultan Mehmed II.
