Looks more like the armor Gary Oldman was wearing in Dracula. This already seems like a movie I'm going to dislike, since I'm picky on how I like my vampires portrayed. I'm getting a generic Underworld vibe from this poster.

I really liked the introduction to "Bram Stoker's Dracula" with Gary Oldman back in the days. The armor was great and the Romeo&Juliet-esque backstory was kinda interesting. Hopyfully this new movie will dig deeper into Vlad Tzepes' backstory and why he potentially became the first vampire!

I'm getting a Underworld/Van Helsing vibe. And I'm so okay with that.

However to the more diehard Vampire fans out there I can sympathize, cause I too really want to see this specific genre be taken seriously. Underworld was over-stylized and Van Helsing too campy, [frick] Twilight, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter...


I'm excited to see what they do with this.

And just to get ahead of the hate I might receive from the Underworld over-stylized comment, I just meant it as not serious enough comment. I personally think its badass. It's just time for a serious Vampire drama, that puts the fear back into people about vampires.

@SpiderFraud - yeah it looks like from FFC's film. I doubt that Dracula did wear that so is it Untold story before the FFC'S film or what.

That's cool. He does look like Oldman's Vlad though. Why he became a vampire doesn't interest me as much as how. It's always kinda glossed over. Even though the movie sucked (no pun intended) Dracula 2000 gave the best change to vampire story.

Anyways...anybody been keeping up with Penny Dreadful? They really went from 0 to Brokeback in one episode, huh?
