Hold The Dark) were being looked at for the lead, but
Deadline reports that the role has gone to
The Haunting of Hill House standout Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
This take on the classic tale will revolve around Adrian Griffin, "a billionaire sociopath who made his money by developing an invisibility suit for the Department of Defense." This suggests a significant change to the source material, as the character actually turns himself invisible in H.G. Wells' novel.
Jackson-Cohen joins previously announced cast members Elisabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge, Harriet Dyer and Storm Reid.
The Invisible Man is set to commence production this month in Sydney, Australia.
