Ahead of tonight's game, Universal Pictures debuted a pretty creepy new Big Game spot for Leigh Whannell's The Invisible Man, which is not a remake of the 1933 classic, but is inspired by the horror icon who has terrifiied generations of fans.

The film stars Primetime Emmy-winner Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale), Aldis Hodge (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back), Storm Reid (Euphoria), Harriet Dyer (The InBetween) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House).

What you can’t see can hurt you. Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss (Us, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale) stars in a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal’s classic monster character.

Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC’s The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO’s Euphoria).

But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

@AnthonyVonGeek - They were 3 months from finishing the post-production process on that when I started working for Paul Verhoeven and his main producer partner, I took over as the Post PA. I still have the actual crowbar used in the movie somewhere lol

@ClungesOfPrey @AnthonyVonGeek - thank you! yeah one thing being a huge MCU fan now is that I can say I spent a whole day with Thanos lol
In the time after I started working in the office, there was one day of a needed reshoot scheduled, I think it was literally just for one shot, a closeup of Josh Brolin holding Elizabeth Shue hanging on the elevator wire at the end. At the time Brolin was in New York doing the play "True West" pretty much every night. He flew back into LA overnight, I had to go and pick him up at a hotel first thing in the morning and bring him to set on the Sony lot. He also then had his 2 kids brought to his trailer to hang out for the day, and after awhile Minnie Driver (his gf at the time) showed up to hang with them. But I was literally the only Post PA on the film, and those reshooting circumstances were very low key, but I remember when Paul's producer's assistant was explaining things to Josh once we got on the lot and saying like "and so Kevin will be here for anything you need", he broke into this huge grin and said "alright, so you're like my bitch for the day!" But I knew he was just joking, we'd already chatted some in the car so we had a nice big laugh. The shoot was only a few hours then I had to drive him down to like some offshoot part of LAX, he was getting on a private charter to fly right back to NY because he had another performance that night.

@MalseMarcel - actually, much as I hate to say it, that might be kind of a fair question. Not that I've actively *looked* for it for a long time, but it has occurred to me recently that I haven't specifically seen it for awhile. It's definitely not in the spot in my apartment that I most easily remember it being last (& that was there for quite awhile). god I really don't wanna think about that I wouldn't have it anymore, it's such an admittedly bizarre thing but I'm sorta proud of having lol (even though I thought the movie itself was shit, that made for some interesting conversations the night of the premiere... although Greg Grunberg was awesome to sit and talk about Felicity with me for like a solid 15 minutes straight, at least)
It's gotta be here somewhere, there's just no circumstances under which I would've tossed it or anything. I did actually pretty much use it as a proper crowbar for a couple things several years ago.

Movie looks good!
It's a shame they used the book's name for it, people will go with preconceived notions on what to expect when it has absolutely nothing to do with it aside from the basic "man turns himself invisible through science" plot point.

A creepy invisible sex pest who is abusive towards women? I thought they got rid of Johnny Depp from this movie?

@528491 - Admittedly it's only a pretty small percentage of these kind of situations where this is the case, but there's actually some fairly compelling evidence that Amber Heard was much more the guilty one in this scenario. She sort of set things up to paint him really poorly and then did lots of embellishing.
