Universal Pictures has released a brand new official, and presumably final, trailer for Leigh Whannell's The Invisible Man, which, is not actually a remake of the 1933 classic, but is still inspired by the horror icon who has terrified generations of scary movie fans.

The film stars Primetime Emmy-winner Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale), Aldis Hodge (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back), Storm Reid (Euphoria), Harriet Dyer (The InBetween) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House).

What you can’t see can hurt you. Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss (Us, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale) stars in a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal’s classic monster character.

Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC’s The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO’s Euphoria).

But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

The Invisible Man sneaks into theaters February 28

@Origame - It was also "loosely based" on The Invisible Man, but Kevin Bacon in Hollow Man was a bit rapey too.

Wildly off-topic but I finally got to go to Star War's Galaxy's Edge. Really scratched my Star Wars itch and had an amazing time. I got to pilot the freakin' Millenium Falcon and can't tell you how satisfying it is to pull the lever yourself to jump to light speed. Coolest ride I've been on in awhile. Pro tip: if you plan on going look into reserving a place on the new Rise of the Resistance ride as soon as you know the week you're going. It looks amazing but you can't wait in line, you have to reserve a time on the Disney parks app and it was booked months in advance when I looked.

@MrCamw1 - He did look freakishly realistic. I love when we see Clone Wars characters brought into live action though, that was cool.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - That's not how the boarding of Rise works...You literally can’t get a boarding group unless is the same day you plan on riding...Basically a raffle system that goes live as the park opens, and dispenses boarding groups until they’re all booked up...Usually takes a couple of minutes for them to get booked for the entire day...Next day at park opening starts the whole process over again...

What your thinking about is the Fastpass system...Every other MAJOR ride can have fastpass spots booked a couple months in advance...Rise however doesn’t offer this option yet...

Seems you didn’t get a chance to ride it? If so you missed out, it’s the best theme park ride I’ve ever ridden...

After watching three whole seasons of The Handmaid's Tale, Elisabeth Moss just makes me uncomfortable.

Can't we just get straight up remakes of the Classic Universal Monsters based on the Classic Universal Monsters that are updated with high quality CGI and badass practical effects that actually look and feel like the Classic Universal [frick]ing Monsters?

Is that too goddamn much to ask? Jesus.

My 80 year old grandma would recognize and buy a ticket to Dracula if it looked like [frick]ing Dracula.

I reckon I’ll check this out. Leigh Whannell did a great job with Upgrade.
