5 things I learned from the Marvel Cinematic Universe

5 things I learned from the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Yes, the MCU is the greatest thing since slice bread. We all know that. But a little nitpicking never killed anyone, did it?

  • Mask? What Mask?

You don’t need a secret identity. Protecting the ones you love is so DC. Marvel’s heroes are way cooler than that.

  • Crack me up!

There’s always time for some forced humor, even when the world is about to be destroyed.

  • Villains are so passé

Who needs properly etched out villains? All our merch is based on the hero, no?

  • Mutants=Miracles

“So, we can’t use the ‘M’ word in our Universe. We’ll just use a word that denounces all scientific fact. And yes, the new word has to start with ‘M’ too.”

  • Miracle=Immortality

“Of course we needed Coulson to die to bring the Avengers together. But we can’t REALLY kill him, can we? So we’ll just relegate him to TV. The movie going audience will still think he’s dead, and we wouldn’t want the Avengers to know Coulson didn’t die either, and we can mint money with a totally unnecessary TV show to promote our movies more.”

yeah cos we all know the villians never discover their secret identities and kill someone. and of course superman's secret identity is him putting on a pair of glasses.

anyway amusing little read.

Because as we all know, concealing your identity and happiness for the selfless purpose of protecting those you love and care for is sooooo outdated. Let's all be selfish and laugh at those you know being harmed because of your willful carelessness! How dare the likes of Superman actually give a [frick]!

Oh, you're making fun of Marvel! Oh, well by all means be my guest. I thought you were being serious with that first point.

Why are you learning anything from a movie franchise based on people who wear tights?

Agreed on humour and villains, not so much on the mask thing. I mean, none of the heroes should care much about their loved ones (Thor's being in Asgard, Steve's being old or dead, etc. -- Maybe Tony could worry, but he's a super star so he doesn't give a shit lol)

@Doopie

I don't mind when people mess with Marvel, everyone has different tastes. But yeah, this lazy-ass article doesn't deserve to stay up, because the author is doing literally nothing but trolling.

Clearly we are dealing with a comedic genius here and someone who knows how to back up his criticisms with ...um ...no examples and no further thoughts. I get that this is satirical ...but there is also someone trying to make a point with this. That point cannot be made with a sentence per point. It is just another opinionated person (who cannot back up their opinions) who believes he has a right to post an article because there is no editor filtering it on this site. If you cannot make a full article just don't post it and if you cannot back up your opinions, you need to take another look at said opinions.

And to the those who gave this a thumbs up? Yeah, I know there is this whole D.C loyalty or whatever because it makes fun of the stuff that D.C fans pan Marvel for but you are just supporting more ill conceived and thoughtless editorials on this site. When you thumb this up you are not tearing down Marvel, you are asking for more badly written articles on this site. You are asking for more one line points and gif filled non-sense that many here want to pass off as not just acceptable journalism but the only type they will accept. Expect more of your fellow CBM.com posters ...expect more of your self. Do not thumbs up articles like this.

Cue the writer to come in and say "that was the point of the article; that was the point of the humor" as it refers to one liners. I am sure you are quite tickled with your 'humor' because in your mind that is your version of wit but the point of an article is to challenge the reader; to make them think and to possibly change their mindset on an issue. It is not to make blanket statements just to have people agree and praise you for having the same opinion. And yes, you can challenge the reader with humor too. It CAN be done. It was not done here.

Please take a community College course before deciding to write an article again.

Yeah, the article didn't bring up any good points. It's obviously a troll article. It doesn't even deserve a comment as long and well though out as yours.
