______________

So after SIEGE comes "The Heroic Age"...

With the ending of these books this brings up a number of questions.
I honestly think these four books will be replaced by four more... but which ones? Will there be a relaunch? Maybe an 'Avengers' title instead of New, Mighty and Dark? Will the adjectives change?

after siege there will be no need for Dark Avengers. those villains should go back to the characters they were before they started posing as heroes. CANCELLED

Avengers Initiative will be renamed. Dan Slott has already mentioned a title he will be working on post Siege called Avengers Academy. i'm assuming Initiative will become Academy. RENAMED

Mighty Avengers will become simply "Avengers", with Cap (Steve Rogers), Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, and the more recognizable Avengers characters. RENAMED

New Avengers will become Avengers West Coast/Secret Avengers or something along those lines, and will be the leftover characters like Cage, Bucky-Cap, Wolverine, Spiderman, Iron Fist and those guys. RENAMED

So yes, the current titles are getting cancelled, but only because they are getting renamed and characters are shifting. these are my guesses as to what they will become and who will be on them anyway. i'm sure they might hit us with a few roster surprises, but i think these are pretty obvious as far as title names and characters.

Is this really the end, and a new beginning?
I have always felt that characters that have many titles out always weakens them at some point in time and then they have to rethink it.
Is Marvel truley working for a single universe for all there characters to exist.
same as DC tried to clean things up with Infinite Crisis
Still
Batman has too many titles out should be reduced to one
Superman at one time had too many titles out .
of course this my opinion and y'all might not agree.
Just pointing out that too many titles leads to confusion in the comic universe

@ georgia

i don't know about too many titles adding confusion, at least not in team books. sure there will be 3 or 4 avengers titles, but they'll all be about separate teams, so i don't see how that can be confusing.

now Wolverine/Deadpool are a different story. does wolverine need to have 4 or 5 titles to himself, AND be in xmen and avengers?? absolutely not. thats getting a little ridiculous. and deadpool is right behind him...

Team books are so much fun, but there definitely are too many teams calling themselves THE Avengers. Sounds like a very good idea.

Quick question: In the Marvel 2099 continuity they always refer to the heroes Spidy, Thor, Cap, Hulk, Surfer, etc. as living durring the "Heroic Age." Is that what's coming? I assumed this whole time the 616 MU has been in the Heroic Age. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

P.S. Where's Anil?

@Anil: Yes, keep Ares and Sentry... but maybe Sentry should get his own little mini. I got a feeling there will be some major changes for him by the end of Siege if he even lives through it. I'm thinking Ares may fill in for Hercules as long as he's dead. I would like to see him get his own book, but I don't think a lot of new readers would read it.

i agree with anil about cap running the avengers academy, that way hes got some distance between himself and tony stark because i think theyre relationship has been strained enough. spidey and wolvie need to go back to their own books. sentry needs to die at the hands of thor lol im just dyin to see that happen at the end of siege!
