Hi Folks this is Hawkfan876. One of my favorite people in comics is The thing. Known to us who love him as simply Ben. What set Ben apart from many hero's is that he was one of the first super hero's To whom whom having powers severely fractured his the way he saw him self. Also no matter what he did at first the people he saved called him Monster.
This man through the brilliant writing of Stan Lee and others became a tragic character. Who over time came to deal with his inner Demons. As a kid who was picked on by other kids for being different. I was able to relate. Ben and his struggles mirrored mine in some ways. Watching Ben slowly overcome his Demons. Gave me the courage to do the same.
It could be said and rightly so that of of all the hero's created by Mr Lee and Mister Kirby Ben Grim while having the body of a Monster. Was the Most vulnerable and Human of their creations.
