In the course of yet ANOTHER massive debate between my friend and I, I thought that since you guys here at CBM helped us settle our last debate of if Wolverine's Adamantium claws could stab through Superman's skin, you guys might be able to help us again. This time our debate concerns WHICH MOVIE IS WORSE??

Joel Schumacher's "Batman and Robin"

OR...........

1990's "Captain America"?

Now, bare in mind, neither of is debating that both of these movies are absolutely horrible abominations that take a piece of your soul each time you watch them. But we are debating that one is worse than the other.

For the sake of our argument, I will not say which I think is worse, or which one he thinks is worse. But we would really appreciate all of your input and help us to settle this argument once and for all. So in the name of all that is bad movie making, post your comments below, cast your vote, and reason why!!

Cap was so bad it didn't make it to theaters.............Clearly Batman's worse. At least we didn't see the abomination that was Captain America.

To be fair, at least Captain America's suit didn't have nipples.

@Zarog But we did see the abomination that was Captain America. It made it onto VHS and was even made into DVD within the last few years.

The fact alone that Captain America says, "Thanks, mister President" when the president shot Red Skull (who didn't even have a red skull for 3/4 of the movie)should be proof enough that Cap was way worse than Batman & Robin. Batman & Robin at least had decenet actors, a better budget, and better made costumes(yes, even with the nipples)

Captain America...an Italian Red Skull, rubber ears, yet still the most comic faithful costume you could get! Batman and Robin...Nipples, ice skates, a Bat credit card, a Batman that sounds JUST like Bruce Wayne, an annoying sidekick (well...2 actually) Batgirl is Alfred's niece, pure camp garbage! Yeah Batman and Robin was the worst of the 2 by far!

And lets not forget the oh so memorable scene where Cap is in the car with the fat reporter and says, "Please, pull over. I am going to be sick," runs 10 yards away from the truck, the fat guy gets out to see if Cap is okay, then Cap runs back to the car and steals it. HE DOES THIS TWICE IN THE MOVIE!!

Interesting...

I would say much less was riding on Cap, and more on Batman... but think about it - how many movies has the Caped Crusader had since the 80s? There was bound to be a bad apple at some point and drop the heavy load he'd been carrying for nearly a decade - and boy did it happen.

Cap was an experiment. It was stupid, nonsensical, and pointless. While Batman and Robin could be fun if you were 10, Captain America was just horrible.

@nerdman81 Lets look at Elektra: I think everyone here can pretty much agree that the 2005 movie was atrociously horrible. However, if you read up on the character of Elektra, it is extremely close to the subject material, including the precognition, the resurrection ritual, The Hand, etc... But just because a movie is extremely close to the comic book, doesn't mean it's gonna be good. There are several other elements that go into it.

Batman and Robin is at least watchable. Captain America is boring as [frick].

@Krypto...I never said it was good because it was close to the source. Captain America was actually QUITE far off the source material. I was simply commenting on the suit being as close as you can get. Elektra was horrible because even though it had elements of the real Elektra from the comics, it was just executed so damn poorly. As bad as it is, I still think Captain America as well as the Dolph Punisher are 2 of my guilty pleasure movies. Batman and Robin I have to force myself to watch, and if I do, it is after a lot of back and forth deliberation. lol I need no such convincing to watch Cap.

captain america looks like a low budget tv movie, batman & robin was a big budget blockbuster but saying that both turned out being nothing more than a steaming pile of shit.

i think batman & robin is slightly better.

Batman and robin is way worse. That movie makes me cringe every few seconds. From all there suits,to the acting, to the cheesy one liners(especially Arnolds). Cap was low budget but didn't make you feel like you were at a village people show. The suit looked great for that time, Almost the entire cast of a Christmas story was in it, and most of all, cap stole a car!! I remember renting the cap movie many times when i was a kid, and yes now i own it. For the times it was fun and that's how a lot of movies of that caliber were made, and people didn't whine about them like they do now. B movies were a dime a dozen, but loved by many in those days

I think it should be batman and robin vs the cap movies from the seventies, now those are more laughable

captain america was just fine. yes, it had bad writing, mistakes, low budget and a poor plot but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Haven't seen 'Cap, but every time I've seen B&R, Uma Thurman's accent / performance make me want to hurt small kittens. Oh, and for the record - Val Kilmer's Bat-suit in 'Batman Forever' had nipples too. I can't understand why people insist on acting like Clooney's was the first... Oh, and that pic of Red Skull cracks me up every time.... Comedy gold.
