Turbine, Inc., the developers of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar (PC), have done us all a favor by designing a Free-to-Play model of their popular MMORPG. Although the model has not been released yet, LOTRO:SoA is currently in beta testing, and you can get your free beta key right now (see below).
Currently, players must pay $14.99 per month to access the online world of LOTRO:SoA (with special $9.99/mo offers here and there).
