February may have just been ' alright' but March will have the movies to raise the bar and set the tone for 2023! Some may not be going head-to-head in the weekend box office, but each one will set mile markers for the year.

Maybe you like the story told by some childhood story writers or familiar faces, old stories being passed on, or you're there for the laughs. March seems to have it all.

This Weekend (March 3, 2023)

Creed III

Focusing on Apollo Creed's son, Adonis Creed, as his past comes back for a fight. Premiering Jonathan Majors with returning Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson.

Children Of The Corn

From legendary horror writer, Stephen King, and American screen writer, Kurt Wimmer, comes Children Of The Corn. Another decades remake with a team having an excellent portfolio, so they know what they're doing.

Bringing back Melissa Barrera from 2022's Scream along with Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Courtney Cox as survivors of Ghostface's latest killings.

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods

Following both 2019's Shazam! and being the first of the James Gun Era on the big screen, Zachary Levi (Thor) and Asher Angel are Shazam, champion/teenager. Not to Be confused with Shazam the ancient wizard played by Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator)

Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham

Batman battles supernatural forces of Lovecraft nightmares that threaten Gotham. See Ra's Al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, Killer Croc, Green Arrow, James Gordon, and Robin for this mystical take on the Dark Knight.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Breakout the soda and chips, we've got another one from Paramount Pictures but more for the nerds. It's got Chris Pine (Star Trek) so maybe your partner or friend will go with you to watch it. It's got thieves, relics, roleplaying hilarities, dungeons, and dragons (surely).

Even though I really like the first Shazam! the trailers for this one don’t seem that interesting to me. It just feels like another generic superhero movie to me. But maybe it’ll surprise me.

The "Children of the Corn" remake originally had a premiere screening in 2020. It had a 0% on RT and was bashed all around. Delaying it 3 years is never a good sign. Seems like an odd film to lump into the bunch.
