Review - KICK-ASS 1 and 2

Now I know alot of people have had trouble gettin their hands on these issues. But thanks to a friend of mine, I have had the privilige of reading the first 7. And you cannot describe them in one word. Maybe seven= wow, brutal, gore, funny, brilliant, fantastic, wonderfull. These stories are very short but leave you wanting more. From what I have read this first series is a series of eight and so I'm dieing for the last because every issue leave you wanting more especially the seventh.SPOILER. From the dave being gay to get closer to his crush to big daddy and hit girl crushing a guy from the mafia in a car crusher you name it this story is filled with everything a comic lover could want.

Below is a rundown on the story through the issues one and two but be warned for spoilers.

Issue 1.

Dave is a kid who is nothing in his school. He's not the class clown, class geek, class hunk, class bad boy, he is merely a boy who likes comic books and jerks off to his teacher when he can. But one day he decides to become a superhero. Dave gets a wetsuit and for the first few weeks blancing on rooftops and doing lots of poses until the night comes when he feels it's time to fight crime . The begins the night by winding up some guys spray painting a wall and winds them up. They begin to fight with lots of blood being spilt, but kick ass while on the ground hurt gets stabbed and his opposition run off. Kick ass dazed and defeated wanders into the middle of a road and gets pretty mushed by a car and covered in blood lays in the middle of a road.

Issue 2.

Dave after being beaten in his first night of fighting crime lays in a hospital with broken legs, broken spine, collapsed lung, the list could go on. He's becoming increasingly scared about what his dad will say about him lying in the middle of the road covered in blood, until he asks why he was naked. Dave realises he must of managed to get his costume off him before the ambulance came. Dave spends four months in treatment of his physical and mental health. He eventually becomes fit again and swears to never put the costume on again. Yeah fat lot of chance that happening. Dave does eventually put the costume back on and as he walks through the streets gets mistakin for a pedophile and gets pestered by a group of women until he gets knocked down by a guy who's getting his ass handed to him by three gangsters. They tell kick ass to get lost but kick ass doesn't. He fights back with all his might. He beats two of them and screams for someone to get 9-1-1 and then gets hit by a trash can. He completly destroys them and they run for their lives. Kick ass is so bruised he can't see and asks if the guys okay and he merely replies thank you. Kick ass looks up and sees a huge crowd cheering his name and at the back of the crowd someone recording the whole fight on his phone says "this is gonna be huge on YouTube".
