So around 2006 I remember hearing about a Marvel wanting to make a Moonknight TV series. Since then I haven't heard much about it, so I decided to check things out and this is what I found. In 2006, Marvel made a big deal about developing a TV series based on one of their properties, Moon Knight. The idea was to partner up with Vancouver-based No Equal Entertainment and Larry Sugar to make the live-action comic book TV series, Moon Knight presents the story of soldier of fortune Marc Spector. After an encounter with the Egyptian god of vengeance and the moon deity Konshu, he became a hero: Moon Knight. The encounter leaves the tormented Spector with even more inner demons to combat. Now as Moon Knight, he hunts criminals in the night, bringing them to justice, and striking fear in the hearts of criminals everywhere.
According to beyondhollywood.com, apparently Moon Knight was being hinted at as a companion comic book show to Spike TV’s recently canceled Blade: The TV Series, and at one point producer David Goyer even said that they planned to introduce the character in that series with an eye toward spinning him off into his own series. Around 2008, Jon Cooksey (The Collector) was confimed as developing a Moon Knight TV series, however this was found on a message board called the java hut. That was all I could find concerning the show. Marvel has since revitalized the character with an all-new ongoing series, and people seem to love the new, more complicated Moon Knight. Maybe this will jump start production on the TV show. What do you guys think? Is Moon Knight to much like Batman to be made into a tv series? And if so, who do you think would be a good actor?

Nice, although i'm not sure about marky marc. Nolen North might be good, or Jason Lewis. I wouldn't mind seeing this on TV if it's done right, not cheesy like some of the stuff on syfy channel.

I think if the studio do it right Moon Knight would work really well as a television series. But I also think that with the costume, violence, multiple characterization and whatnot it would be easy to screw up as a live action series/movie as well.

And I don't think MK is similar to bats at all. There are some similarities (a billionaire alias and even his crescent darts) but I would say MK definitely developed into his own character since.

While I like the darker and crazier MK I think it would be amazing if they tell the stories beginning from Doug Moench's run. He was never crazy enough as carving crescent moons into foreheads but his character is no less complex or interesting. As for actors I think Henry Cavill (the Tudors) would fit a younger Marc Spector. He looks the part and seems to be a promising actor. For an older and perhaps more unusal choice I think Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) would be an interesting MK as well.

I agree, DC is ahead as far as live tv goes, but you do have to admit, Marvel's cartoons are pretty good. I think Disney may lean more towards that and CGI alla pixar, but only time will tell. Good picks for who should play MK though
