Awesome, it's gonna be a great movie. This is the type of CGI that Green Lantern needs.

That looks awesome!

Pissed off super apes invasion would be WAY scarier than a Zombie apocalypse.

Best or most realistic CGI ever seen, I reckon. Even taking into account the low resolution of the trailer hosted on this site, the apes look real. This is another huge leap forward in CGI. This is another groundbreaking CGI film, for sure. Let's hope the rest of the film (plot, acting etc) is good too. :)

...about as unrealistic as it can get. While the original film was a tad campy, nothing still beats that classic.

Here is the whole movie in one paragraph summary:

"Man tries to play god through experiments. Experiment works, but then backfires right in Man's face. Experiments try to take over the world unrealistically (cue shots of Man's national monuments being destroyed to make us "care" about said destruction in their arrogance - Man is the supposed bad guy somewhere in all this, and while we cheer for the Apes, Man gets kicked in the between the balls as thanks for their trouble), but in the end there will always be hope that Man will rise again in the far future as possible sequels deal with the aftermath, etc. And if we're not stupid enough, the sequels will most likely detail how Man will become the good guy as the roles will reverse and some Apes will join them fighting for equality for all species."

- THAT is the whole movie in a nutshell, an Apocalypse movie with Apes.

And somewhere down the line if sequels are confirmed, we'll see something like THIS again:

I wonder if the apes talk at some point in the movie, because neither of the trailers have shown any indication of that.

What's up with every movie rising? I am not usually one to bitch, but they should really change the name, it's too much of a mouthful.
How about Planet of Man? Planet of the Humans? Rise of the Apes?

And the CGI was done using an old Playstation 1 console. Amazing what you can do with old tech! :P

Arminies, I do not think it is either. I think this is a new direction. Dare I say... reboot...

It does look really good though. I do hope the speak by the end of the movie.

@ckal, yeah a bit long in the tooth for a title. "Rise of the Apes" would have worked. Or Planet of the Apes as the main title and the rise of ceasar as the sub text.

@Arminies, they are classifying it as a Reboot with a whole "new storyline" and "History". The main plot, however, is so overdone to death with that there is only so much you can do with a franchise like this that it becomes repetitive no matter how much they try to change it.

@LOL, LMAO at your picture. A little disturbing though.

You can complain about the CGI, but it looks so much better than some of the crap that comes out today.

This film will showcase the limited concept of Planet of the Apes and most likely put a nail in the franche's coffin. Forever.

Looks fan[frick]ingtastic. Planet of the Apes movies are among the best in Sci-Fi history. They have that great Roddenberry-esque human dilemma thing going on.

"Conquest" and "Battle For" are my favorite, so it'll be great to see a modern take on the "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" themes.

CGI snobs don't understand the concept of suspension of disbelief apparently. It looks good enough for me.

There are nearly seven billion humans on this planet. There are less than one million various species of apes combined.

Yeah...I think we got this.

Without spoiling anything, I will say that the film does not ignore the question of the number of humans versus the number of apes on this planet.
