As of this posting it looks like Edge of Tomorrow is having a bit of a struggle at the box office thanks to Maleficent and The Fault in Our Stars; whether or not it's worthy of your hard-earned cash (Nice try! You'll have to watch for my score!), it is disappointing to see an original premise tank at the domestic box office, much like Pacific Rim, Scott Pilgrim, Dredd and Serenity before it.
Thankfully, Pacific Rim ended up pulling its weight at the global box office with some serious legs, and that may prove telling of Edge of Tomorrow's trajectory, as well.
