Is Edge of Tomorrow the greatest video game movie ever made? Does it successfully deconstruct the blockbuster action film genre? More importantly, how many times can we kill Tom Cruise? Let's find out in today's JabberTalky review!

As of this posting it looks like Edge of Tomorrow is having a bit of a struggle at the box office thanks to Maleficent and The Fault in Our Stars; whether or not it's worthy of your hard-earned cash (Nice try! You'll have to watch for my score!), it is disappointing to see an original premise tank at the domestic box office, much like Pacific RimScott PilgrimDredd and Serenity before it.

Thankfully, Pacific Rim ended up pulling its weight at the global box office with some serious legs, and that may prove telling of Edge of Tomorrow's trajectory, as well.

Either way, let me know in the comments below if you thought this was bold sci-fi storytelling or a blockbuster dud deserving of a low box office tally. Also, tell me your favorite summer flop of recent memory!

It's based on a Japanese Graphic Novel, "All You Need is Kill". It's not a video game movie. :-/
